MONOMAD – Preparation for Snorkeling |

A holiday in Pulang Rubiah, Sabang (Indonesia) is not complete without trying diving or snorkeling. I've been there many times, but I haven't always tried snorkeling because I don't like beach vacation spots, apart from the fact that I'm not good at swimming, even though we've never been good at swimming to snorkel.

For snorkeling on Rubiah Island, there are many equipment rental places there. Tourists can rent it themselves, but the most fun and affordable way is with friends or family. To rent a ferry boat, it is cheaper if you go with several people, like we did.

This is the first holiday for the extended family of the 1991 alumni of STM Negeri Bireuen, a vocational school in Aceh, Indonesia. Usually, our favorite place is in the cold city of Takengon, Central Aceh. Apart from being cool and comfortable, Takengon is more affordable for all of us. This is different from Sabang, which means we have to stay overnight in Banda Aceh City or Sabang.

Here I share several moments of preparation for snorkeling on Rubiah Island, starting from choosing a suitable life jacket, choosing snorkeling equipment, to crossing to Rubiah Island.

I expect suggestions and criticism from everyone. Thank you for your support.[]

While still on land, you can style as you like.
