Monomad: Photochromic Eyes

Behind the sharp eyes of jumping spiders, I always wonder why those eyes often change color. Those eyes, like photochromic lenses: when the jumper looks into the dark, the eyes darken too; and conversely, when it looks towards the light, its eyes also turn clear. Could it be that the jumping spider does have photochromic eyes?
