Staying in a Pink Unicorn Theme Room 🦄 - Langkawi, Kedah

Hello everyone 👧.

During our (my Mum, Sister, Brother and I) 3 days 2 nights stay in Langkawi, Kedah, we stayed in a homestay in Kuah Town. We headed to the homestay after we had filled up our stomachs at a Chinese restaurant just in front of the homestay where we stayed.

Homestay is located on the first and second floors of the shoplot. While my Brother waiting for us to arrive in Langkawi from Pulau Pinang by flight, he checked into our room earlier. The ladies just entered the room accompanied by my Brother who held the room key card.

There is no lift in this homestay, only a staircase. Fortunately, our room is on the first floor, so we are not so tired to carry our luggage to our room.

We are not allowed to wear shoes inside the homestay premises. We just removed our shoes and carried it into our room. This is to prevent our shoes from being stolen if we keep it outside.

This is the lobby and also the kitchen pantry for the tenants to share and use for cooking or getting drinking water. However, we did not use the kitchen during our 2 nights stay. On the other side of the lobby, there is a wing on the wall for the tenants to take pictures with it.

From my perspective, this homestay is like a hotel, with a floor consisting of 14 rooms, with each door with tag of different country name. Our room name is Taipei.

All of us are shocked except for my Brother after looking at our room. We also keep laughing over the pink unicorn theme in the interior of our room. In addition, the pink pillow on our bed was very fluffy, which made our stay very comfortable when laying on the bed.

Though the air conditioner looks old, it still works so well that we can enjoy it throughout the entire room. The television is only for display as there is no connection to any station for us to watch when we open the television. Free Wi-Fi is also available with a strong connection.

The toilet is fine for us as long as there's warm water for us to take a bath. No free toothpaste and toothbrush provided. Luckily, we got bring our own toothbrush and toothpaste with us for travel.

As soon as we have settled our luggage inside our room, we are going out. There's a 24-hour convenient store just beside the homestay's entrance. We bought some snacks and water so that we could enjoy them inside our room.

In the next morning, before leaving to see the tourist attractions in Langkawi., we had brunch just below and near the homestay. We woke up quite late due to exhaustion from our first day of travelling yesterday.

We went to a Chinese restaurant offering a variety of dishes such as noodles, soup, rice, and pastries. Each of us picked a different type of meal so we could try all of them together.

Cold milk coffee

This homestay cost us RM100 (USD 23) per night and can accommodate four people in a room. Furthermore, it's only 5 minutes car drive to Kuah Jetty Langkawi that we will be boarding a ferry as transport for our trip back to Pulau Pinang.

That's all. Thanks for reading my post 🤗.
