Good morning everyone, It is me from Sarawak .. I am @luueetang
THE CAT MUSEUM
GOOGLE MAP: Cat museum, Kuching, Sarawak
One of the best museum I've visited. You can easily spend a couple of hours here. The collection here is massive. I walked around the gallery slowly and admired everything. I have a video of it but have not compiled it yet. Will share it once I have uploaded it on YouTube.
Do you spot a cat???
A painting of a huge orange can be seen. The cat museum is inside the Kuching City council. The first council that I have visited that is so high up. Such a view.
I wonder how they built the whole place. The view of Kuching city from far.
Kuching City council - Kuching has many councils and this is one of them.
Lush greens
Huge gardens. well maintained. High up. Such beautiful view. One of the best things about Malaysia is the greenery.
THE MUSEUM
An epic entrance.
Since its inception since 1993, this entrance is almost two decades old. The entrance is the first checkpoint for any instagram pictures. I've taken lots of pictures here and will be posting other pictures in the next post.
Cat art
This is one of the most impressive artwork being displayed. It pops out. This work of art takes a lot of time to make.
Cat mugs and cat slippers
The earliest Japanese fortune cat. Looks a lot different from the fortune cat today.
Japanese cat art
This is one really impressive picture.
Faces with cats and humans. Luckily, our genetics doesn't allow for humans and cats to breed or else the above would be what human cats would have looked like.
THE CATWALK
Finally, the origin of the catwalk. No wonder, whenever, models walk on stage, they walk like cats.
CATS IN EGYPT
This particular section gives me chills when I walk close to it.
The Egyptian cat. This cat somehow brings me chills.
The cat coffin
The cat coffin. I was pretty amazed to see such a thing in person.
Cats and mouse
Where there are cats, are mice.
Cats in showbiz
Tom and Jerry - Tom the most famous unfortunate cat. Wow.. these posters are pretty rare these days.
Alice in Wonderland. Cat from outer space and Aristocats. Haha..
A really old cut out. Liz Taylor would have been proud that she lives on in a cat museum in Sarawak. She even wrote a letter to her lost cat.

There is a whole section here dedicated to celebrities and cats.
LES ARISTOCHATS
A musical - by cats. When 3D hadn't existed yet. Posters hand drawn. Cartoons hand drawn.
Qi Ling
A mythical creature in ancient china that drives bad spirits away. Good luck come. Come good luck.
After a walk, you basically come to this
Another instagram worthy photo that I did not take a good picture in.
TAXIDERMY of a Leopard cat
James Brookes would have seen these taxidermies. The information beneath states the time "1820s".
Other cat sculptures.
Cat art donated by a Russian.
There are whole load of pictures that I have not uploaded here. I'll let you have the fun of exploring it someday if you have a chance to visit Sarawak someday to this rather unique collection.
