Yesterday, I rode to Setu -Bekasi. I passed by Setu, Cileungsi-Bantar Gebang street. Those streets were empty. There was no traffic jam.
More people were going to their home towns in their vehicles. Some rode their motorcycles and others drove their cars. They started to travel on April 25, 2022. They will go back to Bekasi on May 4, 2022. This is a long holiday, Iedul Fitri.
There were only a few travelers on the street. On weekdays, the street is always busy and there is always a traffic jam at rush hours. A minimarket is still open, but many stores are closed.
A food stall was closed. Warteg is a small restaurant (or, as I prefer to call it, (Warung Makan)).If I say a restaurant, it does not meet the minimum standard requirements of a restaurant.
Warteg is an acronim Warung Tegal. Why is it called Warung Tegal? Because most of the sellers are from Tegal District, Central Java. Many urbanites from Tegal open small food stalls. They are Warteg. You can find thousands of Warteg in Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Depok, Bogor, Bandung, and almost all cities in West Java.

This is the look of the menu in Warteg.
I rode to Bantar Gebang Street, there was still a minimarket that was open. The street is also very busy on workdays. Today, there were only a few riders on the street.
You can see a bridge over the street. It is a Toll street development. The project has been stopped for months. I think the government has no more money to continue the construction.
I turned left to a country road that passed through a large ricefield. I am not sure in the next 2 or 3 years. The ricefield will be turned into buildings.
It was around 5:30. I could enjoy the sunset from the ricefield. The sun was orange and the sky was beautiful.
Thanks for reading my story about the street near my house. I hope you enjoy it.
