Our municipality is having free spay and neuter this month and I asked my mom to let Mochi have her spayed because we decided a long time ago that she will not conceive any baby in the future and never will be LOL and one thing that let us do it that to prevent any diseases in the future and spaying our fur babies will add years to their life span how cool is that right?
I felt nervous at first, but after realizing that this was for her best and that was all I wanted, and I am so amazed that Mochi took it like a champ, she's eating fine just like she used to do, and we paused playing and jumping around for a moment as the doctor advised.
Trying Her Cone:
So I do my research on what preparations and things to do before the spay, such as buying a head cone to keep her from licking her surgical scar, so I hurriedly order one. And then just pretty much she is healthy, and we made sure she is 100% okay days before her surgery.
The Surgery Day:
My mom registered her at the designated office, and that's pretty much it. Days before the spay, my mom asked me how to spell shi tzu, and I told her that's how to spell it, but she thought "Zitzu." I keep laughing from her cute mistake, but you know, people will know even though it is spelled wrong. And my mom asked just recently that the person who gave Mochi to use doesn't know who the father is, so we just go with Shi Tzu.
The doctors and their staff are already here preparing their materials, and some of us are waiting at the side, and let me take a photo of Mochi while she is still as calm as ever LOL.
Now this is it for real, now Mochi is in line, now waiting for her to be injected with anesthesia, and she yelled as loud as she could LOL, and good thing my father is the one who holds her, I will pretty much drop her if I am the one holding her at that moment haha.
We wait at the side for the anesthesia to knock her down, and for about 10 minutes she's trying not to sleep, and a few other dogs got knocked down, but she's still awake, so then the medicine worked on her the next step is they shave the belly which where they're going to open her and then clean her and took her to the operation place.
Now we wait for the resting place and then watch the other dog be shaved and cleaned.
And I almost didn't see the poster they made for this event, and I like how simple it is, not much of a political thing, sometimes the politician's face is bigger than the actual event LOL.
We wait on the stage stair, looking at the other fur parents waiting for their fur babies to wake up and go home eventually.
After the surgery, she got three more shots of medicine, and then we waited for her to wake up they advice to touch her to wake her up, and she pretty much woke up the moment they took her out.
Aftercare Medicine:
After that, I go to the consulting area and they gave a prescriptions for her to drink and they gave me instruction on after care of her surgery, they ask me what matter of medicine I choose the syrup than the tablet because tablet is pain in the ars to take for the fur babies and then before we go home I bought the medicine they prescribe and then we got home. And they advise me not to let her play and wander around much because that might cause her stitches to be open, so yeah.
Time For Her To Rest:
She felt groggy and out of the world for a few hours, but I saw from a post that made sure to take a photo of the surgery cut every day to make sure of any difference from it, so I did. The stitch doesn't look like a stitch at all.
After she got her energy back, I let her wear her cone for the rest of the day and remove it when she is eating and getting her medicine. Get well soon, Mochi, so we can go on a trip and play all day :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
