One of the reasons why I stopped doing my daily to-do list is because I have already mastered my habits. But in the past few days, I feel like I was only going with the flow, and I need to be SMART with my goals. SMART means that your goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bounded. My response to this week is somewhat inclined with that principle, so I hope to achieve it in a different time frame. Without further ado, let's get started.
☑️ Finish Maria Clara and Ibarra.`
I aim to finish this hit teleserye in GMA during this vacation because I need to do something different. Every time I feel burned out, I always crave to watch something. You know that feels. This Philippine drama is a reimagined version of "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo" by our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, but they incorporated it with a twist. Therefore, if you thought the story was boring, maybe you got it wrong.
While the original book focuses on heavy drama and explores the oppressive nature of the Spanish occupation, I appreciate how the writers, director, and cast occasionally injected moments of humor that make me chuckle. I'm not yet in half, but I'm curious why they had a scene in which Klay slowly attracted Crisostomo Ibarra. I already knew who would be her love team, so I'll trust the process. They also put other characters in the novel, and Klay even attempted to change their destiny. Still, she cannot change their fates, and the thoughts remain intact.
This story is highly relatable since I remember being absent-minded whenever our teacher discussed the novel. In tenth grade, I admit I wasn't listening regarding my classmates' reports. Instead, I resorted to cheating during our weekly quizzes. I can't help remembering how we got to pass cheating with my classmate, even if our teacher was in our front without getting caught. Like Klay, we are in a similar situation, but our only difference is she got seen. Hence, I recommended this series to viewers who tend to skip classes on his novels.
☑️ Successfully apply for a scholarship
I've been applying for scholarships to take advantage of my academic excellence. I applied for UniFast in 2022, but the status is still unknown. My adviser didn't even know when they would be open again. A month after, I also applied for Violago's scholarship. However, I haven't received updates, as they said it would be sent via text. And recently, our school has offered free tuition and Php. 2,000 monthly allowance. Unfortunately, I didn't get qualified because I didn't join any organization, although let's assume that my grades are not bad and always active in school.
And now, I heard from my mother's acquaintances about the scholarship from the municipality. I just got my Certification of Grades as proof that I did well in school. However, they said I still need to get a Certification of Enrollment. I don't know if I would be qualified as I'm planning to shift major. I majored in Banking and Microfinance and want to shift to Marketing Management. I won't be irregular, but I'm worried since it might be the reason why I couldn't be a scholar.
☑️ See my name on Dean's List again this upcoming school year
Although it was not formally announced, I'm glad I got the consecutive spot on Dean's List this year, and that's a significant flex. I got a 1.30 GPA in the first semester, and there's no formal announcement about the dean's lister this sem yet. But in terms of requirements, specifically grades, I'm a hundred percent sure that I would be qualified. I'm one of the best-performing students, if you won't mind😂. I believe that having good grades would be my strength in finding scholarships.
☑️ Keep active here, although I'm not much active
They often say engagement matters more, so I would stay active. I like your content if you see that I leave a comment on your blog. In my personal preference, I use Ecency in making engagements, while I use PeakD as my outlet in writing. I don't have much interest in pushing myself to write daily as I feel like it was not a good idea during this vacation. I also want to enjoy my life outside Web3 and social media too.
☑️ Pursue my other side hustles
Lately, I've been putting effort into a couple of side hustles - my affiliate account on TikTok and completing surveys. I only earn cents and sometimes nothing, but that's fine since I can leave it anytime. I make money in TikTok whenever I put a link in my video, and someone is interested in checking it out. I don't know why I'm shadowbanned, but I'll repeat my luck. One of the worst mistakes I think I've been making is inconsistency. My goal in TikTok is to post two to three times a day, while I aim to check my survey sites twice a month.
If you are curious about my TikTok account, here it is. And about the surveys that I've tried, here are the links. There have some affiliate links there, and I only earn cents.
