For today's blog, I will make a quick tour about farming and gardening place including the good fruit of labor.
The first time we raised chickens we only have 1 rooster and 2 hens. But now, it turns into 40 chickens already not includes the chicks. We are so very happy and proud of this, we successfully raised more chickens in our place. But there are some situations that can be really bothered us and create problems. Some people doing some vaccinations of their rooster and if this will done, it is already expected that the neighboring chicken will die. We already experienced this kind of situations, almost half of our raising animals died instantly after the rooster vaccinations. We felt very sad. But, despite of the problem, we still keep raising more.
I also checked some of our hen that is already laying an eggs. We decided to make a basket so that she will be more comfortable while laying. As checked it, I found out that there are already 6 eggs in the basket, well this is perfect so that There will be having a new member on the farm. Raising chickens with chicks is slightly tricky, it needs to keep an eye so that there will be no harmful animals just like craws, snakes, wildcats and dogs can approach and eat. This is very valuable that is why it needs to take care if it. Putting it in a chicken pen is also good specially during at night. Some animals like snakes attacks during at night.
We cook our food using this firewood. In local term, we called it Palwa. We can get this in the coconut trees, we dried it before we used for cooking foods. Sometimes, we use this as a fence specially in the Garden, also we sell this on the supermarket. There are lots of people who willingly to buy this especially those who cannot afford to buy stove. This is also a part of Simple way of Living here in the Province.
This pile of sacks near in my garden contains organic fertilizers like animal manure and dried leaves. It helps to give nutrients to the vegetables we planted so it will grows healthy. I let it placing here until it completely rot. This will help to absorb the nutrients instantly to the plants here in my Garden.
I decided to put a fence in my Garden and it is made of Coconut palm and nets. This is perfect so that no animals can enter inside of my Garden including snakes because of the nets that surround the place. It is good to put a fence before we plant more vegetables just to make sure that our plants will safe from harmful animals.
My ginger plants are started to grow and instead of planting it in the garden plot, I planted it in a recycled materials just like this one. I also put dry leaves serve as an organic fertilizer. I decided to plant this ginger so that when this plant will multiplied, I will cut it into inch and plant to it to my garden, this is what we called propegations.
Chilli pepper is one of the most highly demand here in our supermarket. I decided to plant more chilli pepper and plan to sell in the supermarket soon as it bare more chilli. This is perfect here in our place because it is very acidic. I covered this with nets because there are many birds eat chilli pepper, this is one of my problem and it needs a way to prevent this.
The last but not the least this already harvested manggo fruits. We don't used any synthetic materials to bare its fruits but instead, we only burn the dry leaves under this tree. Smokes can also help the tree bare more fruits and this is the output. This is safe to eat because this is organic and the fruits we harvested will be sell to the supermarket. It already paid our hard work and fruit of labor.
