It is unfortunate, the lockdown has been extended from mid of June until the end of it. Well, we all know, but we just don't dare to say it out loud what a great political advantage to maintain power. Ok. Let' stop that rant, before they come and take away my food and put me behind bars. Let's get on with the day!
Once again, I headed to the street and looking for Bondas as the other day I told @justinparke I'm going to find the banana bondas. I thought I found it, but apparently it's not. Shop owner said this, the dough made of tapioca.
Well, if you're in Malaysia or Indonesia, Nasi Lemak is our thing. We cook the rice in coconut extract, top it up with chili paste, anchovy, peanut to made out of a dish. Usually prepacked in banana leafs in a pyramid shape. But this is the first time I'm seeing such a tall apex. Very interesting, so I ordered on of these as well.
Whilst I was waiting for them to make my milk tea, I think this is the first time i'm seeing such a small Dosai. I'm not exactly sure if all people like this, but I used to hate this when I was younger, because of the yeast and fermentation of the rice flour made it smells a little off. But now as an adult, these are some of the good shit. Lightly sourish but the rice flour gave the amount of sweetness of sugar.
Ok. This is not so ASEAN here, my little Skoda Fabia MK1 is one of the less appreciate car in the family. The old look, the roof that leaks, the broken rear door unable to open, the broken power assisted steering, the less cold air condition. Despite all that, it's still one of my all time favorite. It's been weeks since I took her out for a wash due to the lockdown.
So, I pack them all back, so I can start snapping some photos and create content. The bondas is kinda sad, so I didn't take a huge photo of it. It felt like putting a stash of starch in my mouth instead. The curry puff is pretty good, but the filling is a little too small.
And the nasi lemak, is a trick. The tall apex is actually a cone with absolutely nothing in it other than full of air(or fart, I won't know). The rice is simply too small for this portion.
We didn't go out for lunch since home minister said she will cook for us. Can you guess what is she trying to cook by looking at the ingredient?
That's right, it's omelet. She ask me how does it look like, does it taste like 5 star hotel? I straight away decline it, saying no it's nothing similar! Just before she start to get angry and shout at me, ask me to cook it myself next time, and I told her this is so much better than any hotel with any star. It's true, when did you see so much bacon in a piece of omelet?
I think my area, residence here does take it very seriously on the lockdown, and before curfew time is up, the street become empty and so happen sun is setting, I'm able to pull up this shot whilst buying dinner.
Dinner is sweet and sour pork and rice. I know, I'm supposed to take care of my food intake. I'm not sure if I'm gonna have a heart attack soon, but my body already giving me signals and warning. I should really take care of myself now.
