Avillion Port Dickson - Negeri Sembilan Malaysia

Our department decided to visit one of the nearest getaway from Kuala Lumpur, which is Port Dickson. The main reason for this trip was to meant to be staff engagement, at the same time we get to enjoy a fruitful weekend getaway from the busy work schedule.

Port Dickson situated at about 80km away from Kuala Lumpur south. We choose Avillion Port Dickson resort so we can enjoy the experience of water chalet without going all the way to maldives. That ofcourse, the Malacca Straits offer a different color of sea water compare to the Caribbean blue and transparent sea(try brownish milk tea for our version).

The stretch of Bagan Pinang and Saujana Beach is considered one of the most shallow shoreline in Negeri Sembilan. Avillion resort situated right at the 4th mile mark. During high tide, you can rent a cage from the resort management, and try your luck catching crabs from your own chalet.

It's NOT a private beach, but the hotel did keep this side of the beach clean and offer facilities, and a paddock for patron to sit here enjoy some(no beer) overpriced & sugary beverages. It's marvelous to eat ice cream by the beach yo, especially in Malaysia kind of weather.

We booked twin sharing for most rooms, since the boys are odd numbers, I myself decided to share room with the other two colleagues. It's a comfortable dual single bed, and a sea view queen size bed by the window.

I kid you not, the queen size bed at the extended sea view windows, I am not sure if you're imagining what I am imagining(evil laughter echoing behind my head now).

Two plastic chair by the balcony allowing guests to sit here, enjoying beer(buy from somewhere else), smoke a joint and listen to crab crawling during low tide. Or, you can sit here and drink some rain during thunderstorm midnight at high tide worrying if the chalet will be consumed by the great ocean(kid you not, I'll try to get you a video clip by my boss).

Ok. These are not my roommates. I already thought of how wrong things can go, but I don't have a proper balcony photographs after the girls crashed into our room and hogging the balcony refused to goaway.

One of the major inroom entertainment being the TV set, combo with YouTube and NetFlix unless you want to spend more time watching those. Or, open the patio window you can see through the giant washroom with sky shower and bath tub beside an opening well that lead straight to the sea. Nope, I have no photographs for you, the two room mates are young big boys.

Here is a shot where the tide is higher, by night the water level will be covering almost the entire support beams.

Food buffet is not bad at all, I do have a series of food photographs and the buffet range of food. However, it's not fair for me to comment on the food since I wasn't feeling too well durign that weekend. All I can say is, the buffet price is kinda reasonable, considering the convenient of staying in the resort and enjoy the facilities.

We did brought our own ice box with full load of beer, but we did it discretely inside our room. Note that this is a Muslim friendly resort. It's not exactly forbidden, but we do show respect to other religion. And these water chalets are interconnected by bridges, and woods are good at conducting sound. Try not to party too late or you're going to be disturbing the neighbors.

Outdoor swimming pool is available from 9am until 9pm. There is another bigger and better pool at the other side of the resort, but that one was too damn boring, squarish like a school swimming pool.

There's souvenir shop and gym by the pool. I can imagine walking at the treadmill and overseeing the pool flooded with bunch of bikini girls there.

And the sad reality being, there's almost very little to none of Malaysian girls wear bikini. Besides, Muslim friendly yo. The next time you can see best is probably a soccer mom wearing an oversize pajamas jumping into the kids pool and making a whale splash. And the gym only opens after 9am.

Oh before I conclude this blog entry, I forgot to mention this is one of those famous wedding event place. I am seriously considering to bring my home minister here for a romantic getaway so we can make babies(without making babies). Hmm... now it kinda make sense, who wants to wake up early going to the gym?
