Saludos amigos de las Comunidades: "HiveGarden" y "Succulent Growers". Quiero compartirles una suculenta muy especial por la textura de sus hojas. Es una variedad del género Haworthia, llamada "Piel de Cocodrilo" aunque tambien se le llama "Hojas de Limar".
Greetings friends from the Communities: "HiveGarden" and "Succulent Growers". I want to share with you a very special succulent because of the texture of its leaves. It is a variety of the Haworthia genus, called "Crocodile Skin" although it is also called "Lime Leaves".

1.- Nombre Científico: Haworthia limifolia
"Haworthiopsis limifolia es una especie suculenta de la familia Asphodelaceae oriunda de la región sur del continente africano pero ampliamente cultivada en todo el mundo."
"Haworthiopsis limifolia is a succulent species of the Asphodelaceae family (formerly Xanthorrhoeaceae) native to the southern region of the African continent but widely cultivated throughout the world"
2.- Características
"Son plantas suculentas bastante pequeñas que forman rosetas de 6 cm de altura y 10 cm de diámetro que tienden a producir hijuelos laterales. Las hojas son de color verde oscuro brillante, forma más o menos cónica y presentan rugosidades que recuerdan a la piel del cocodrilo."
"They are quite small succulent plants that form rosettes 6 cm high and 10 cm in diameter that tend to produce lateral suckers. The leaves are bright dark green, more or less conical in shape and have roughness reminiscent of crocodile skin."
3.- Sobre el nombre
"“Limifolia”, proviene del latín “limes”, que se traduce en el verbo “limar” y, “folia”, que se significa “hoja”. Su conjunción entonces quiere decir “hoja de limar”, precisamente por sus franjas abultadas y protuberancias."
"“Limifolia” comes from the Latin “limes”, which translates into the verb “file” and “folia”, which means “leaf”. Its conjunction then means "filing blade", precisely because of its bulging stripes and protuberances."
