Good day dear mates! So it's time to publish another one garden journal from me. Really another one garden journal. But suddenly at this time it won't be post about my garden. Today I want to tell you about my friend's garden whom I visited on this week. My friend lives for 500 km to south from me. On Monday evening after work I just came home, took good dinner and drove to him. So only early on Tuesday morning I came to him.
In region where my friend lives, spring has come into its own. Bird cherry threw out it's inflorescences and is already blooming and gives peace with the aroma of it's flowers.
Here you can see how an old pear blossoms and pleases others with it's flowering.
The currant bush also threw out its inflorescences and will soon begin to bloom, like the plum next to it.
Not far from them, my friend grows a young apple tree, as my friend told me, he spooked it on the stock of a wild-growing shoot of an apple tree.
It gave signal buds last year, but he decided to let it grow and gain strength. And this year he is already expecting a full harvest.
A little aside, my friend planted honeysuckle bushes and insects are already flying over it's flowers, pollinating it.
In greenhouse my friend has containers with seedlings of tomatoes and peppers. As soon as the earth warms up enough, he will plant them in the soil.
Another passion of my friend is barberry. He became interested in them about 5 years ago. During this time, the bushes have grown and delight him with their colors from early spring to late autumn.
In another part of the garden, there is a flower garden where tulips and flowers are in full bloom.
My friend has more than a dozen varieties in his collection, and here is only a small part of them.
Also in my friend’s flower garden there are a lot of pion roses.
Unfortunately sometimes weeds appear in his garden - dandelions, but he tries to quickly remove them before they have time to pollinate and populate the entire garden.
Buy the way my friend surprised me with the fact that strawberries have already bloomed in his garden, because in my region, it usually blooms no earlier than the end of May or at the beginning of June.
In addition, my friend is expecting an excellent harvest of garlic and onion this year.
Finally, I was able to meet my friend's dog. He adopted it as a puppy about a year ago. And now this dog of the Husky breed has become a big, healthy and cheerful friend and member of his family.
I spent only 6 days at my friend's house. During this time, I managed to get to know my friend's neighbors and we had a great time fishing. And today I returned home and will soon be ready to tell you about how things are in my personal garden.
That's all for today.
Stay tuned! Yours @travoved!
