The Star Magnolia is the shining star in the garden at the moment. She is the first of my flowering trees to bloom and is dressed beautifully in all the white flowers.
This is the very top of the tree against a brilliant blue sky. There are still so many buds that have yet to open. We are forecasted to get a lot of rain this week and I know that will cause most of the flowers to brown and drop.
I am so thankful to get to enjoy the spectacular blossoms thus far as the petals are already beginning to fall. :-(
I am standing underneath the tree now and trying to capture it from a different angle.
White flower blossoms are one of my favorites because I can see them so well at night too. Many people plant white flowers just to enjoy them in the "Moon Garden."
I am amazed at how many blossoms are on each branch this year. Yet I could see when it was putting forth buds this winter that it was going to be spectacular this spring.
For the final shot, can you see the bee sitting atop the highest bloom? I think he must be scouting out the surrounding area for a place to nest, well perhaps!
Until next time, this is Sunscape
