The flowers and plants in my garden

Hello friends of #hivegarden, my native language is Spanish, so I will be using an online translator to help me, it is the first time I publish a post in this community, recently my dad brought an exotic cactus known in Venezuela as “Pichiguey”, its scientific name is Melocactus curvispinus, you can see more information about the plant: [https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melocactus_curvispinus](Melocactus_curvispinus on wikipedia) and another one that I have had for a long time : the fuchsia lily.

I love simple things, I love gardening and I have a passion for cactus, I really find that they are plants that do not require so much maintenance and some have very pretty flowers, I have known of another plant that is a cactus called “nopal” that is used to reduce the pain of spurs on the soles of the feet, supposedly it works.

The fuchsia lily, has a “bulb” and you have to have a lot of patience because it buries a lot to get there and then come the roots, the best thing about this plant is that it does not need much maintenance, the soil of my yard is a super arid rena. When it rains it blooms more often, and usually blooms at night.

Here comes out something called “cephalium”, which emerges after a flower dies, this cephalium looks like a “sweet pepper”, I was going to take it out to plant it but the animals in my house ate it...😕🙃 It will be for the next time I go out to do the test to see if I siempro it and how it goes with the planting....

Here, we can see how the flowers come out, that die the same day, the cephalium came out the following day, this cactus in the white part is very spongy and the green part where the thorns are is very very very hard, to cut it with a machete and it was very problematic.

The “Pichiguey”, is used to help dissolve the kidney stones that accumulate in the kidneys, supposedly for that purpose, you cut the green shell with a machete or something hard, and you must wear safety equipment especially safety glasses, because the thorns fly out when you cut the cactus, and you take out the internal part of the cactus which is like a sponge, wash it and cut it into small pieces and then put it in a jar of water in the refrigerator and drink the water from the cactus, until the water loses the peculiar taste of the cactus. .. Dad is better, he no longer feels discomfort, I personally don't like it, I prefer another drink...

In my garden I had many other plants that I had to remove and that also finished the “bachacos”, we had to throw an insecticide to chase them away, I also had arnica, which are useful for pain and the “crowns of Christ” that are ornamental. These plants that I showed you do not need a lot of water or fertilizer. Which is an advantage for not having to invest in that.
