Cultivation of onions in the land and picking onions!

Onion is an essential spice. Which we use this masala in various food related items starting from cooking curries here every day. Nowadays, cooking without it is unimaginable. And with that opportunity, the traders started to increase its price at that time. Although currently its price is half a dollar but sometimes its price goes up to two dollars per kg. Anyway this year we planted some onions in our land for the first time mainly to meet our family needs. The onion has been extracted from our land a few days ago.

Last few months my father bought four and half kg of onion seedlings from the market and we planted them in our land. Basically my father took care of them completely. Although the yield of the onions was not good due to various insects and the onion plants fell down due to the rains of the last few days. So that's why the onions couldn't grow as big. And also because the soil is wet, the onions have spoiled a bit.

Two days ago my father brought those onions home from our land. Although I did not go because now is the month of Ramadan and due to lack of time I only went to the fields occasionally to see how the crops were doing. However, although the yield is not that good, this is the first onion cultivation and I am very happy to see the onions because to be honest we have a lot of new things here. Onions are never cultivated in our lands or in our village. Anyway, after bringing home, my mother and I both picked and cleaned the onions. Because the onions were under the ground, they got soiled and we cleaned them and dried them in the sun yesterday as they were a bit wet.
