It's been raining for the whole two days here and I can't go to my garden in the field that's why this time, I did some make over in area beside our house.
This plan has been going on in my mind for a long time already and now since I can't go in the field I did it this time. It's cloudy since morning so it's perfect to do it. I thought that will be the weather the whole day but the sun showed up while I'm in the middle of preparing the area.
I took out first the things that's present in the area,here's the area to be transformed.
As you can see that it's not that spacious but it's an ideal space for a garden. It's beside a ricefield and my plant san francisco is the boundary. While preparing the area, I'm hopeful that my plants here will grow well and bear many.
My plan is to put stones that will serve as a fence so I began to dig the area where I will put it as shown in the photo.
After I finished it , I asked my cousin to help me in carrying the stones to be use. While taking photos, I can see in her smiles that she's enjoying it. I also taught her many things already when it comes to gardening.
She carried those small ones while I carried the big ones.
Then I began to assemble it in their desired places as you can see above. I didn't find it hard since it's not that difficult as long as you know what you're doing.
I took out the soil first in the area in order to make it more finer and remove the unwanted things in it.
I used a sieve to strain the unwanted elements and my cousins helped me to do it. While they're doing it, I talked about the reason why it need to be done that way and I hope that they can use it in the future.
After straining all the soil, I began to plant the tomatoes in the area. I dig a hole and put some organic soil in it then planted it. These tomatoes are a bit tall already but I just dig deeper since all the parts that's to be burried will develop roots later on so it's just okay.
But if you plant tomatoes, it shouldn't be like that. Plant it while they're still small for them to develop strong roots in their permanent place and can gain the momentum in having a good yield later on.
After planting all the tomatoes I then scattered the strained soil around their stems for better look and for better soil to them.
And in the end it gave me the result like this one. It's so fulfilling to my heart that I did some great again today. Another good problem to be maintained.
Harvesting sweet potatoes.
After lunch I decided to dig some sweet potatoes in the garden of my mother in the field since she said the other day that there are some good to harvest already.
I dig and dig and finally got a lot of it in just one sitting. I'm very happy and because of that I continued to dig for some more sweet potatoes.
Then I found two large sweet potatoes, there's a smile on my face while digging it out. Well who will not be happy if you can dig something like those.
My dogs are with me as usual and it seems Blackie is happy also as he's just beside me the whole time. While the other one, Sarah is in the middle of the road as if she owned it lol.
In the end I harvested this many sweet potatoes so I cooked it for our viand this evening and boiled some to eat.
And that's how my day went again this friday. With all those happening I can really say that Thanks God It's Friday.😊.It's full of blessings .
