In this case, they're planting yucca plants. They told me it was practically a trial run, since they had a section of their land that they'd almost never used due to the presence of ants and other insects. They cleared it so thoroughly that they decided to plant the seedlings in a small area, and almost five months later, you can see the very good results they're getting. They also mentioned that these plants are nine months old (so they still need a little more development). It's worth noting that these plants are excellent, and they didn't want to plant any more, waiting for them to fully develop so that, God willing, they can plant the other piece of land there on a larger scale.
Nearby, they also planted three plants: two avocado trees and one papaya tree. They plan to have a wider variety of plants in the future. They've already started the seedbeds for both sweet peppers and tomatoes to try and get the most out of nature. Although they have water, they're waiting for the rains that usually fall around this time of year, but so far they're still waiting for them to arrive so that the harvest can be at 100%.
The life of farmers is complicated if they don't have the necessary tools, but it's undoubtedly incredible to take the time to work the land even without knowing for sure if they'll get the harvest they want.
