Holla readers and my fellow plantation lovers, As a sequel to one of the post i wrote recently concerning plantation. A lot of questions where asked based on the steps I highlighted in the post. I will be doing justice to one of the questions in this post using related pictures to illustrate the steps.

The question is based on the fact that, it is quite difficult in some areas to allow the plantain reach a maturity stage before harvesting due to some pest and animals such monkeys, birds and so on.

Well, don't panick, I'm here to offer a solution with at least 96% chance of success, I have make use of this technique a lot of times which had proven very effective. As you know a lot of animals and pest are attracted to plantain especially monkeys.

Before you embark on this step you must make sure that the plantain as grown a little and most of its reddish cover are pilled off.

STEP 1

After you must have noticed that the plantain as grown a bit, at least for the period of 2weeks depending the area and how close the plantation is to water. The first step is to search for a sack and a rope, the sack must not short, it must have enough space for the plantain grow. this sack must be transparent and not too thick because the plantain needs air to grow but not too soft either because animals such as Monkeys could penetrate the sack if it is too soft.

STEP 2

After you are able to get a befitting sack, then climb the plantain tree to cover it up with the sack, you must be very careful because plantain trees don't usually have much strength and they grow weaker the moment they start germinating fruit, do you have to make sure you don't put much await on the tree while climbing to avoid collapsing with the tree. depending on the height of the tree you might need a ladder. while covering it, you must make sure the sack covers every inch of the plantain up to the holder.

STEP 3

After you have covered the plantain with the sack, you must look for a rope, which you must have kept beside you before climbing the tree. you will tire the opening part of the sack to the plantain holder. Make sure it is tight enough and not too tight either in case you might need to change the sack, in case it got pierced.

After you must have completed the above step, all you have to do is check on it once in a while, since the sack is transparent you will able to see through the sack to check the plantain growth and wait till the the time of harvest, you can click this link to know more about how to harvest a plantain.

Hope you were able to gain one or two things from the write up, feel free to ask questions in the comment section about any of the steps or method you don't understand.
