(ING-ESP) My banana harvest / Mi cosecha de Plátano

Greetings dear friends

Happy and blessed day everyone, it is a great pleasure for me to come here after a time of absence in this beautiful community, I tell you that in the last month I had not shared anything with you since my little garden was going through a very bad moment due to the strong and long drought that we had to go through. It is so sad to see how your effort, work and dedication are ending due to the lack of this vital liquid, the plants became sadder every day without being able to do anything to avoid it.

Unfortunately, due to all this, we lost a large part of our plantation, including paprika, tomatoes, passion fruit, aubergines, lemon, lettuce, among others. Something very sad and unfortunately for the family but thank God it was temporary, the water cycle began several days ago and we are starting our work again trying to recover some plants and starting from scratch with others.

Among the plants that endured all this were banana and mango plants, some of which were loaded and waiting to be able to harvest their fruits. The banana ones, which are the ones that I show you in these photographs, despite the fact that they turned a little yellow, their leaves remained upright holding those bunches that we have decided to harvest this week, we only collected two bunches for our consumption at home and to share with neighbors and relatives.

In the same way, we still have 4 banana plants loaded, which will be for the next few weeks, this is a great satisfaction that despite everything that happened to us, we were able to obtain some fruits from our harvest. We always give thanks for those harvests that are blessings that we receive.

Now we are waiting to be able to recover our two mango plants that are just loading their first harvest and despite the fact that the sleeves are already big, we are anxious to be able to enjoy these fruits with the family. Which I also hope to share with you soon.

In these next few weeks we will be in the process of preparing the land and making some seedbeds to start our process again to recover our new orchard. I think that starting over is not bad as long as we feel like it. I trust that soon I will be able to give you some advances in this process.

Mi cosecha de Plátano

Saludos queridos Amigos

Feliz y bendecido día tengan todos, es un gran placer para mí pasar por acá después de un tiempo de ausencia en esta bella comunidad, les comento que en este último mes no les había compartido nada ya que mi pequeño huerto estaba pasando por un muy mal momento debido a la fuerte y larga sequía que nos tocó pasar. Es tan triste mirar como tú esfuerzo, trabajo y dedicación se va acabando por la falta de ese vital líquido, las plantas se entristecieron cada día más sin poder hacer nada para evitarlo.

Lamentablemente debido a todo esto perdimos gran parte de nuestra plantacion, entre ellas ahí, pimentón, tomates, parchitas, berenjenas, limón, lechozas, entre otras. Algo muy triste y lamentablemente para la familia pero gracias a Dios fue algo pasajero, ya empezó hace varios Días el ciclo de agua y estamos empezando nuevamente nuestro trabajo tratando de recuperar algunas plantas y empezando de cero con otras.

Entre las plantas que aguantaron todo esto quedaron las de plátano y mango que eran algunas que estaban cargadas y en espera de poder recolectar sus frutos. Las de plátano que son las que les muestro en estas fotografías a pesar de que se pusieron un poco amarillas sus hojas se mantuvieron en pie sosteniendo esos racimos que está semana hemos decidido cosechar, solo recolectamos dos racimos para nuestro consumo en casa y para compartir con vecinos y familiares.

De igual manera aún nos quedan 4 plantas de plátano cargadas, que será para las próximas semanas, esto es una gran satisfacción que a pesar de todo lo que nos pasó, pudimos obtener algunos frutos de nuestra cosecha. Damos siempre gracias por esas cosechas que son bendiciones que recibimos.

ahora quedamos a la espera de poder recuperar nuestras dos plantas de mango que están apenas cargando su primera cosecha y a pesar de que los manguitos ya están grandecitos estamos anciosos de poder disfrutar en familia esos frutos. Los cuales espero también poder compartir con ustedes próximamente.

En estas próximas semanas estaremos en proceso de preparar la tierra y realizar algunos semilleros para empezar de nuevo nuestro proceso para recuperar nuestro nuevo huerto, creo que empezar de nuevo no es malo mientras que tengamos las ganas. Confío que próximamente pueda darles algunos avances de este proceso.
