Hello dear gaming community of Hive. This is my first post around these new lands. I was former steem user but stopped since its policies changed. So... here I am talking about video games once more. I hope you can enjoy my post 😀 Let's begin:

Hola querida comunidad gaming de Hive. Esta es mi primera publicación en estas nuevas tierras. Solía ser un antiguo usuario de steem pero lo dejé cuando sus políticas cambiaron. Así que... aquí estoy, hablando de videojuegos una vez más. Espero que puedan disfrutar de mi post 😀 Empecemos:

Sometimes looking back to our childhood makes us cherish all the memories we have of sitting in front of a TV and spending whole afternoons playing video games. All the laughs, snacks, and scolds from our parents... We have so much nostalgia about the past that's SO crazy being a twentysomething and realizing some games are as old as you.

A veces, recordar nuestra infancia nos hace atesorar todos los recuerdos de estar frente al televisor y pasar tardes enteras jugando videojuegos. Todas las risas, las meriendas y los regaños de nuestros padres... Tenemos tanta nostalgia del pasado que parece locura tener veintitanto y darse cuenta de que algunos juegos son tan viejos como tú.

This is the case of Spyro, one of the most beloved platformers from the 90's released for for the PSX.

Este es el caso de Spyro, uno de los juegos de plataforma más famosos de los años 90 y que salió para el PSX.

The release of this remake made me a bit weary ─you know, with all the remakes of EVERYTHING we have these days. But if it's an easy cash grab by Activision is not up to me to decide.

El lanzamiento de este remake me hizo desconfiar un poco ─Saben, con todos los remakes de TODO que tenemos en estos días. Pero si es dinero fácil por parte de Activision no depende de mí decidirlo.

I wanted to show you guys my experience with the remake, and yeah, I'll admit it, I'm kinda nostalgic about 90s games. However, being a young kid raised by a single mother reduced the amount of money I (she) could spend on games. So I could only play Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. SO Everything that will be said in here (about Spyro the dragon and Spyro the year of the dragon)is from a new experience.

Quería mostrarles mi experiencia con el remake, y sí, lo admito, tengo algo de nostalgia de los juegos de mi infancia,sin embargo, ser un niño pequeño criado por una madre soltera redujo la cantidad de dinero que yo (ella) podía gastar en juegos. Así que sólo pude jugar Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage y nunca lo pasé completo. Así que todo lo que se dirá aquí (sobre Spyro: year of the dragon y Spyro the dragón) viene de una nueva experiencia.

The plot goes around Spyro, the purple dragon, trying to rescue his community of fellow dragons turned into stone by Gnasty Gnorc. We, then, have to travel across 6 overworlds and rescue 120 dragon + 100 dragon eggs + 12000 gems with the help of our little friend/health-bar Sparx.

La trama gira en torno a Spyro el dragón morado intentando rescatar a su comunidad de compañeros dragones convertidos en piedra por Gnasty Gnorc. Tenemos que viajar a través de 6 mundos y rescatar 120 dragones + 100 huevos de dragón + 12.000 gemas con la ayuda de nuestro pequeño amigo/barra de salud Sparx.

Enter the dragon... world __________ Entra en el mundo del dragón

On the first overworld, Artisans, we rescue a lot of artist dragons (yeah they also need them, you know), and of course... Artisans... Here you find the "realms" or levels you'll have to travel to

En el primer mundo, Artesanos, rescatamos varios dragones artistas (sí, ya saben, también acá los necesitan), y por supuesto... Artesanos... Aquí encontrarás los "reinos" o niveles a los que tendrás que viajar.

On the second world, Peace Keepers, we have to rescue all the warriors of the dragon world.

En el segundo mundo, Pacificadores, tenemos que rescatar a todos los guerreros del mundo de los dragones.

The third world is Magic Crafters and well... They craft magic hehe. We rescue mages and alchemists mostly on these levels.

El tercer mundo es el de los Hechiceros y bueno... Hacen magia jeje. Rescatamos magos y alquimistas en estos niveles.

The fourth homeworld is called Beast makers. They are the guardians of nature, or as they are depicted: the hippies of the Dragon World. It holds the realms in a swamp so the dragons from these land look like voodoo sorcerers.

El cuarto mundo se llama Creadores de Bestias. Son los guardianes de la naturaleza, o como se les presenta: los hippies del mundo de los dragones. Tiene los reinos en un pantano, así que los dragones de estas tierras parecen hechiceros vudú

The fifth homeworld is called Dream Weavers and it's full with dragons that read the stars, make predictions, and are basically crazy. I think these dragons had an amazing artistic work from the designers of the game.

El quinto mundo se llama Creadores de Sueños y está lleno de dragones que leen las estrellas, hacen predicciones y básicamente están locos. Estos dragones tuvieron un increíble trabajo artístico por parte de los diseñadores del juego.

The last world is Gnorc Gnexus. In here we find a mix of dragons that look a lot like all previous dragons.

El último es el Mundo de Gnasty. Aquí encontramos una mezcla de dragones que se parecen mucho a todos los anteriores.

Now that we visited all the types of dragons, let's talk a little bit about the game: was a good experience or did nostalgia fog it with huge amounts of idealization? The answer is... Yes, it was a good experience. It took me a little bit to get used to the new camera movements, but all in all the game plays smoothly. In terms of graphics the Switch version is the "worse" looking one, but I just don't care that much about graphics. If it looks nice, it's enough for me. And lastly, what's more important than any graphic aesthetic is the level of fun. Did I have fun? ABSOLUTELY. I loved this game and certainly I can assure you that it was, and still is, a good game.It was worth all the bucks

Ahora que hemos visto todos los tipos de dragones, hablemos un poco del juego: ¿fue una buena experiencia o la nostalgia la empañó con enormes cantidades de idealización? La respuesta es... Sí, fue divertido. Me tomó un poco de tiempo acostumbrarme a los nuevos movimientos de la cámara, pero en general el juego funciona bastante fluido. En cuanto a los gráficos, la versión de Switch se "ve peor", pero no le presto mucha atención a los gráficos. Si se ve bien, es suficiente para mí. Y por último, algo más importante que la calidad gráfica es el nivel de diversión. ¿Me divertí? ABSOLUTAMENTE. Me encantó este juego y puedo asegurarles que fue, y sigue siendo, un buen juego. Vale cada centavo.
