¡Hola a todos!

De nuevo, e increíblemente, Don't Starve Together. Tengo que admitir que estoy bastante decepcionado por no traer un post de este juego continuando el legendario mapa que creamos @jotaunive y yo donde completamos todas las estaciones y quedamos pronto a invierno luego de derrotar al Bearger, ni siquiera estoy seguro de que estábamos seguros para sobrevivir esa estación, pero hey, nuestra próxima meta era llegar al día 100 T_T

Nuestro récord está hasta el día 89 aún

Pero este no es el punto de este post, sino, otro totalmente distinto: ¡Un nuevo mapa de DST!

Sé que hasta este punto el juego comienza a perder algo de sentido ya que se siente como si continuamente estuviera creando mapas sin objetivo alguno, y si bien es cierto que ya tengo un mapa donde básicamente he completado la parte "superficial" del juego, ¿por qué comenzar uno nuevo?

Y es que en esta ocasión no estoy jugando con @jotaunive, sino con otras personas totalmente distintas (aunque ya conocidas si has leído mis posts).

En esta ocasión estuve jugando junto a @mrwisu y @thisryz en un mapa completamente nuevo y también siendo el primer mapa de ambos (bueno, de Mrwisu no ya que había jugado unas cuantas partidas antes, pero estaba aprendiendo acerca del juego aún).

Creo que jamás me cansaré de repetir que DST es un survival demasiado difícil y que no hay que tomárselo a la ligera porque fácilmente puedes morir o quedarte sin recursos para fabricar cosas indispensables.. como ocurrió varias veces en esta partida.

Como siempre, mi personaje es Wolfgang. Antes de elegir personajes me tomé el tiempo para explicarles a los muchachos la importancia de saber qué hacen todos los personajes para que tengan una idea general o al menos básica del estilo de juego que tendrán que utilizar para cada uno de ellos.

Al parecer a thisryz le gusta farmear ya que eligió a Woodie, mientras que Wisu prefirió algo bastante agresivo y que tiene que estar en constante pelea para sobrevivir: Wigfrid (el personaje que nada más usan las personas con discapacidad cerebral como un conocido que tengo llamado Perceval).

Fue gracioso porque a mitad de partida thisryz me dijo que se había convertido en un animal y yo no tenía ni la menor idea de qué estaba hablando porque no recordaba que su personaje era Woodie y mucho menos lo había asociado con la luna llena.

Cuando dijo que estaba convertido en Alce y que quería enfrentarse a un boss yo como buen profesor le di lo que quería:

Para los que no estén al tanto de lo que esté sucediendo: En Don't Starve hace unos cuantos meses introdujeron un crossover junto a Terraria. Honestamente ni siquiera sé de dónde salió esta colaboración, pero existe, ¿y quiénes somos nosotros para juzgar?

El punto es que en esta colaboración introdujeron un boss del Terraria dentro del juego: El ojo del terror. Este boss se puede invocar mediante el Terrarium, un item que se consigue en el altar de protección que protegen los cerdos guardianes.

Después de un par de golpes Thisryz terminó descubriendo que tal vez no era buena idea luchar contra este boss después de todo: Y es así como se le enseña a los nuevos jugadores.

Poco depués volvimos a la rutina: Farmear, hacer cosas indispensables y evitar morir... aunque este último al parecer era muy difícil para thisryz. Sin exagerar, diría que thisryz murió unas 5-6 veces en una sola partida continua, aunque todo es parte del aprendizaje.

No sé por qué este SC me pareció bastante cómico: Estar parado esperando que la comida se termine de cocinar mientras ves cómo caen meteóritos es algo surreal y cómico gracias al estilo Tim Burton XD.

En esta partida hubieron más cosas bastante alocadas que sucedieron, como thisryz invocando más de 5 Treeguards ya que se tomó bastante en serio la tarea de recolectar madera; pero no estuve muy centrado en tomar screenshots porque estaba más enfocado en intentar enseñarle a los muchachos más acerca de este juego.

Lastimosamente no tengo fama de buen profesor, a veces suelo dar mis enseñanzas un poco tarde, o simplemente mis alumnos son un poco..

Si vieran a 7 pinguinos salir del mar de la nada, ¿lo primero que se te pasaría por la mente es atacarlos? Aún me sorprende la toma de decisiones de algunas personas, pero yo no juzgo a nadie, yo solo doy amor.

Espero que algún día podamos jugar de nuevo este mapa ya que estábamos a punto de entrar en lo que considero que es el mayor obstáculo de las personas nuevas en DST, pero mientras tanto, ¡eso es todo!

Hello everyone!

Again, and unbelievably, Don't Starve Together. I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed not to bring a post from this game continuing the legendary map that @jotaunive and I created where we completed all the seasons and were soon to winter after defeating the Bearger, I'm not even sure we were safe to survive that season, but hey, our next goal was to get to day 100 T_T.

Our record is up to day 89 yet.

But this is not the point of this post, but, a totally different one: a new DST map!

I know that up to this point the game starts to lose some sense as it feels like I'm continuously creating maps without any objective, and while it's true that I already have a map where I've basically completed the "superficial" part of the game, why start a new one?

And is that this time I'm not playing with @jotaunive, but with other people totally different (although already known if you've read my posts).

This time I was playing together with @mrwisu and @thisryz in a completely new map and also being the first map for both of them (well, not for Mrwisu as he had played a few games before, but he was still learning about the game).

I think I will never get tired of repeating that DST is a very difficult survival game and that you should not take it lightly because you can easily die or run out of resources to make indispensable things... as it happened several times in this game.

As usual, my character is Wolfgang. Before choosing characters I took the time to explain to the guys the importance of knowing what all the characters do so they have a general or at least basic idea of the play style they will have to use for each of them.

Apparently thisryz likes to farm since he chose Woodie, while Wisu preferred something quite aggressive and that has to be in constant fight to survive: Wigfrid (the character that only people with brain disabilities like an acquaintance I have called Perceval use).

It was funny because halfway through the game thisryz told me he had turned into an animal and I had no idea what he was talking about because I didn't remember that his character was Woodie, much less had I associated him with the full moon.

When he said he was turned into a Moose and wanted to face a boss I as a good teacher gave him what he wanted:

For those of you who are not aware of what's going on: In Don't Starve a few months ago they introduced a crossover alongside Terraria. I honestly don't even know where this collaboration came from, but it exists, and who are we to judge?

The point is that in this collaboration they introduced a Terraria boss into the game: The Eye of Terror. This boss can be summoned by means of the Terrarium, an item that you can get in the protection altar guarded by the guardian pigs.

After a couple of hits Thisryz ended up discovering that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to fight this boss after all: And that's how new players are taught.

Soon after that we went back to the routine: Farming, doing indispensable things and avoiding dying... although the latter was apparently very difficult for thisryz. Without exaggerating, I'd say thisryz died about 5-6 times in a single continuous game, although it's all part of learning.

I don't know why I found this SC quite comical: Standing around waiting for the food to finish cooking while watching meteorites fall is surreal and comical thanks to Tim Burton's style XD.

In this game there were more pretty crazy things that happened, like thisryz summoning more than 5 Treeguards as he took the task of collecting wood quite seriously; but I wasn't too focused on taking screenshots because I was more focused on trying to teach the guys more about this game.

Unfortunately I don't have a reputation of being a good teacher, sometimes I tend to give my teachings a bit late, or just my students are a bit...

If you saw 7 penguins come out of the sea out of nowhere, would the first thing that would cross your mind is to attack them? I'm still amazed at some people's decision making, but I don't judge anyone, I just give love.

I hope someday we can play this map again as we were about to enter what I consider to be the biggest hurdle for people new to DST, but in the meantime, that's it!
