Jamás dejaré de estar orgulloso de @jotaunive y de mí por lo lejos que llegamos en este mapa. Fue una completa locura e hicimos cosas que jamás pensábamos lograr, DST es un bueno jodidamente bueno y demasiado difícil, pero nosotros logramos por fin lograr llegar al día 50 (e incluso lo superamos) y eso para nosotros fue haber completado un logro que llevábamos persiguiendo durante mucho tiempo.

Derrotamos al Goose, los truenos acabaron con nuestras cosas, casi nos quedamos sin comida, fue una completa locura y fue una pena haber muerto por una mala decisión de mi parte. ¡Acompañenme en esta triste historia!

Apenas iniciamos el mapa fui directamente a asesinar a un Goose porque leí que este boss dropea unas plumas que sirven para craftear un Luxury Fan, un ventilador movible que nos refresca y es increíblemente útil para sobrevivir el verano, la estación más calurosa de DST y a la que jamás habíamos llegado (de hecho, jamás habíamos llegado a la mitad de la primavera, pero una vez nos adaptamos a cómo funcionaba nunca tuvimos problemas).

El Goose como tal no es un boss tan difícil, con solamente darle 2 ataques y retroceder ya tienes el combo perfecto para matarlo sin recibir nada de daño. Leí en internet que con un casco de fútbol americano y una armadura de madera ya era más que suficiente para matar al Goose sin problemas.

Creo que lo interpreté mal porque pensé que no me haría nada de daño, pero efectivamente me bajó mucha vida.

No logré tomar un screenshot cuando lo maté, pero esto fue el comienzo de mi pesadilla ya que los hijos de Goose se enojan cuando el boss muere, por lo que empiezan a atacar como unos salvajes y me hicieron aún mucho más daño. Afortunadamente tenía la flauta por lo que los dormí y los asesiné uno por uno, pero me atrevo a decir que los hijos son aún más difíciles que el propio boss ya que su ataque no se puede esquivar (o al menos eso percibí porque no importa hacia donde me moviera, parecen ataques teledirigidos hacia el jugador).

Como es primavera, la mayor parte del tiempo debía ir con el paraguas. Jota tuvo un pequeño problema con el lag y lastimosamente murió por unas arañas mientras exploraba el mundo, pero eso no fue problema ya que fui a revivirlo fácilmente porque farmeamos un montón de glándulas de araña para siempre estar prevenidos cuando ocurrieran este tipo de cosas.

Luego de haberlo revivido noté que el lugar donde murió era un completo caos. Había una pequeña aldea de cerdos mientras que al lado habían arañas que atacaban a los hijos de Goose y por ende también estaba el boss. Era una completa guerra entre distintos bandos, pero obviamente nosotros quisimos aprovechar esto a nuestro favor.

Ah, y olvidé mencionar que también habían sabuesos normales y de hielo, por lo que era otro bando también peleando.

Al final la batalla por obvias razones la ganó el Goose, incluso también destruyó los nidos de araña que estaban allí por lo que obtuvimos tela de araña gratis. El problema es que quisimos ser avariciosos y sin estar preparados intentamos matar a ese Goose que tenía la vida un poco baja, pero por obvias razones nos destrozó (e incluso me mató luego de haber revivido a Jota) así que decidimos alejarnos y reorganizarnos en nuestra "casa".

Mientras estábamos camino a nuestra base nos encontramos con algo que jamás habíamos visto en nuestras vidas: Una Lureplant.

Supongo que aparece solo en la estación de primavera y, según leí, es bastante extraño que aparezca por lo que tuvimos muchísima suerte. Aún no estoy del todo seguro sobre cómo funciona, pero vi que se puede hacer una especie de espacio para que ella pueda matar mobs utilizando los Eyeplants (los ojos que están en el suelo atacan a cualquier cosa que esté encima de ellos).

Notamos que podíamos usarla a nuestro favor ya que cerca de nosotros había una cueva, por lo que decidimos colocarla allí cerca para que ella sola matara a los murciégalos cada vez que spawnearan (supongo que es una especie de granja automática, lol). Fue extraño porque no vimos que spawnearan más Eyeplants así que no nos molestamos mucho en esperar que hiciera algo útil.

Mientras exploraba conseguí otra, que fue aún mucho más extraño.

No le presté mucha atención y seguí con mi camino porque debía conseguir más plumas de Goose para que Jota también pudiera craftear un Luxury Fan para él, y esta es la decisión que hizo que perdiéramos completamente.

Debido a que tenía poca vida y no teníamos mármol para craftear una armadura de mármol, perdí mi pelea contra el Goose y antes de morir le pedí ayuda a Jota para que el boss no se reseteara y así perder el progreso de que casi lo asesinaba. Logramos derrotarlo y yo quedé milagrosamente vivo, pero olvidamos completamente el peor factor de este boss en específico: sus hijos.

Básicamente este fue el resultado:

Los hijos de Goose nos deletearon completamente y ya no teníamos oportunidad alguna de revivir en este mapa. Era un mapa que habíamos explorado considerablemente y solo logramos encontrar 1 sola piedra de resurrección, cada vez que moríamos nos revivíamos usando glándulas de araña.

La verdad es que fue una pena increíble porque teníamos flautas y no logramos usarlas a tiempo para dormir a los hijos de Goose y así matarlos uno por uno. Simplemente se nos olvidó completamente la existencia de estos pequeños demonios y nos hicieron puré de papa.

Luego de haber vagado durante un rato como última esperanza, decidimos solamente juntarnos para tomar una última foto y concluir este increíble mapa que realmente disfrutamos muchísimo y hasta ahora ha sido nuestro mayor logro. Estoy seguro de que invertimos más de 10 horas en este mapa y a pesar de no sonar como mucho tiempo, 10 horas en un mismo mapa de DST es un logro increíble para nosotros.

De verdad que la pasamos increíble y estoy muy ansioso de poder comenzar de nuevo y con muchas más ganas (ups, de hecho, ya lo hicimos). Así que vamos a ver qué nos depara en el futuro de DST y todas las cosas que este juego tiene para ofrecer.

I will never stop being proud of @jotaunive and myself for how far we got on this map. It was completely insane and we did things we never thought we would ever accomplish, DST is a damn good one and way too hard, but we managed to finally make it to day 50 (and even beat it) and that for us was completing an accomplishment we had been chasing for a long time.

We defeated the Goose, the thunder wiped out our stuff, we almost ran out of food, it was complete madness and it was a shame to have died because of a bad decision on my part. Join me in this sad story!

As soon as we started the map I went straight to assassinate a Goose because I read that this boss drops some feathers that are used to craft a Luxury Fan, a movable fan that cools us and is incredibly useful to survive the summer, the hottest season in DST and the one we had never reached (in fact, we had never reached the middle of spring, but once we adapted to how it worked we never had any problems).

The Goose as such is not a very difficult boss, with only 2 attacks and retreat you have the perfect combo to kill it without taking any damage. I read on the internet that with a soccer helmet and a wooden armor was more than enough to kill the Goose without problems.

I think I misinterpreted it because I thought it wouldn't hurt me at all, but it actually lowered my life a lot..

I didn't manage to take a screenshot when I killed him, but this was the beginning of my nightmare as Goose's children get angry when the boss dies, so they start attacking like savages and did even more damage to me. Fortunately I had the flute so I put them to sleep and killed them one by one, but I dare say that the sons are even more difficult than the boss himself as their attack can't be dodged (or at least that's what I perceived because no matter where I moved, they seem to be teleporting attacks towards the player).

Since it's spring, most of the time I had to go with the umbrella. Jota had a little problem with lag and unfortunately he was killed by some spiders while exploring the world, but that wasn't a problem since I was able to revive him easily because we farmed a lot of spider glands to always be forewarned when this kind of thing happens.

After I revived him I noticed that the place where he died was in complete chaos. There was a small village of pigs while next to it there were spiders attacking Goose's children and so was the boss. It was a complete war between different sides, but obviously we wanted to use this to our advantage.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that there were also normal and ice hounds, so it was another side fighting as well..

In the end the battle was won by the Goose for obvious reasons, he even destroyed the spider nests that were there so we got free spider web. The problem is that we wanted to be greedy and without being prepared we tried to kill that Goose that had a little low life, but for obvious reasons her destroyed us (and even killed me after reviving Jota) so we decided to move away and reorganize in our "house".

While we were on our way to our base we came across something we had never seen before in our lives: a Lureplant.

I guess it spawns only in the spring season and from what I read, it's pretty rare for her to appear so we got extremely lucky. I'm still not entirely sure about how it works, but I saw that you can make some sort of space for her to kill mobs using Eyeplants (the eyes that are on the ground attack anything above them).

We noticed that we could use it to our advantage since there was a cave near us, so we decided to place it nearby so it would just kill the bats every time they spawned (I guess it's kind of like an automatic farm, lol). It was weird because we didn't see any more Eyeplants spawning so we didn't bother much waiting for her to do anything useful.

While exploring I got another one, which was even much stranger.

I didn't pay much attention to it and went on my way because I had to get more feathers from Goose so that Jota could also craft a Luxury Fan for him, and this is the decision that made us lose completely.

Because I was low on health and we had no marble to craft marble armor, I lost my fight against the Goose and before I died I asked Jota for help so the boss wouldn't reset and lose the progress of almost killing it. We managed to defeat him and I was miraculously alive, but we completely forgot the worst factor of this specific boss: his children.

Basically this was the result:

Goose's children completely wiped us out and we had no chance to revive in this map. It was a map that we had explored considerably and we only managed to find 1 single resurrection stone, every time we died we revived using spider glands.

The truth is that it was an incredible shame because we had flutes and we didn't manage to use them in time to put Goose's children to sleep and kill them one by one. We just completely forgot about the existence of these little devils and they made us mashed potatoes.

After wandering around for a while as a last hope, we decided to just get together to take one last picture and finish this amazing map that we really enjoyed a lot and so far has been our biggest achievement. I'm sure we invested more than 10 hours on this map and even though it doesn't sound like a long time, 10 hours on the same DST map is an incredible achievement for us.

We really had an amazing time and I'm really looking forward to start again and with much more enthusiasm (oops, actually, we already did). So let's see what the future holds for DST and all the things this game has to offer.
