When you're new to gaming and think the phone can hear you

Clip from Spooky Month 2020! I was playing Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion and one room had a phone in it. I'm BRAND NEW to video games, so I thought that the phone could hear me and I could speak to it and solve the puzzle! Turns out I was very wrong, but it made for a good laugh!

Growing up, I never played video games. They never seemed interesting to me and I was raised with the impression that all video games were violent/caused violence. In high school, I would hear about people playing video games and also watching other people play video games and I didn't understand it! How could you possibly enjoy watching someone else play a video game?! You aren't even playing the game yourself! It didn't make any sense to me and I was so far removed from the video game world.

On Halloween of 2018, a YouTuber I follow (Casually Explained) tweeted saying he was playing some spoopy games and to come hang out with him on the link he attached. I was confused by what that meant, but I had no other plans and out of boredom and curiosity, I went to Twitch for the first time ever!

From that first stream, I was instantly hooked and I started learning so much about online communities and games! I decided then that I also wanted to join in the fun and become a gamer!

In April 2020, I began playing video games and decided to also stream my gaming journey! All games that we play on the stream are my first time ever playing! I am trying to play as many different genres of games as possible and learn as much as I can about the world of gaming!
