I like First Person Shooters, those who know me know that for years I have always been attracted to shooting games, but this year I played for the first time CS:GO and Valorant, games that have made me doubt which one is better, each game has unique things that make it quite different even though the concept of them is almost the same, both have game modes based on the same, but each one has a different way to play them, both in terms of gameplay and technical level, but which one is better?
Me gustan los First Person Shooters, los que me conocen saben que desde hace años siempre he estadoa traído por los juegos de disparos, pero este año pude jugar por primera vez el CS:GO y Valorant, juegos que me han hecho dudar entre cual es mejor, cada juego tiene cosas únicas que lo hacen bastante diferentes a pesar de que el concepto de ellos es casi el mismo, ambos tienen modos de juegos que basan en lo mismo, pero cada uno tiene una manera diferente de jugarlos, tanto a nivel de jugabilidad como a nivel técnico, ¿pero cuál es mejor?
Both are Tactical Shooters, but Valorant is more inclined towards the fictional than the realistic, because of its visual style that is a bit cartoonish and the ability to cast powers, each agent has unique abilities that we can use to get the victory, while CS: GO is more based on realism, I think that when it comes to Tactical Shooters, CS:GO is the game that is closer to it, not only for being a game in which powers do not exist, but also that there are many factors that influence the gameplay in a more noticeable way than in Valorant, such as shooting while moving.
Ambos son Tactical Shooters, pero Valorant está más inclinado hacia lo ficticio que a lo realista, tanto por su estilo visual que es un poco caricaturesco y la capacidad de lanzar poderes, cada agente tiene habilidades únicas que podemos usar para obtener la victoria, mientras que CS:GO está más basado en el realismo, creo que en lo que se refiere a Tactical Shooters, CS:GO es el juego que se acerca más a ello, no solo por ser un juego en el que los poderes no existen, sino también que hay muchos factores que influyen en la jugabilidad de una manera más notoria que en Valorant, como por ejemplo el disparar mientras te mueves.
En Valorant es muy frecuente ver como algunas veces alguien muere de esta manera, muchas veces me ha pasado que veo a alguien y freno a mi personaje con la tecla contraria a la que me esté moviendo, así tengo mayor precisión, entonces comienzo a disparar entonces la otra persona me mata mientras va corriendo, obviamente es una cuestión de suerte y algo que puede ser bastante frustrante, en CS:GO es muy difícil que esto pase.
In Valorant it is very common to see how sometimes someone dies in this way, many times it has happened to me that I see someone and I stop my character with the opposite key to the one I'm moving, so I have more precision, then I start shooting then the other person kills me while running, obviously it is a matter of luck and something that can be quite frustrating, in CS:GO it is very difficult for this to happen.
Both have game modes with the same concepts, two teams of 5, one of attackers and one of defenders in which the attackers have to plant a "bomb" and the defenders prevent it from happening or defuse the bomb, in Valorant there are many characters, each with different skills suitable for certain roles, roles to enter and control the Site, roles to collect information from enemies and many more, while in CS: GO there are no unique characters, they all have the same characteristics, there are no powers but there are grenades that can help you do certain things like enter a Site in a more controlled way or clear certain areas.
Ambos tienen modos de juego con los mismos conceptos, dos equipos de 5, uno de atacantes y uno de defensores en el que los atacantes tienen que plantar una "bomba" y los defensores evitar que eso pase o desactivar la bomba, en Valorant hay muchos personajes, cada uno con habilidades distintas aptos para ciertos roles, roles para entrar y controlar el Site, roles para recolectar información de los enemigos y muchos más, mientras que en CS:GO no hay personajes únicos, todos tienen las mismas características, no hay poderes pero si hay granadas que pueden ayudarte a hacer ciertas cosas como entrar a un Site de una manera más controlada o limpiar ciertas zonas.
Pero, esta disponibilidad de muchos personajes con diferentes habilidades da pie a una diversidad y dinamicidad muy grande, las partidas son menos repetitivas, y lo mejor de todo es que Riot saca actualizaciones en las que algunas veces añaden nuevas cosas, no es un juego que esté abandonado por los desarrolladores como lo está CS:GO, muchos jugadores profesionales de CS:GO se han ido a Valorant, tal vez se debe a probar algo diferente y ver que Valorant es más dinámico y mucho más variado en cuanto a jugabilidad.
But, this availability of many characters with different skills gives rise to a very large diversity and dynamicity, the games are less repetitive, and best of all is that Riot releases updates in which sometimes add new things, it is not a game that is abandoned by developers as it is CS:GO, many professional CS:GO players have gone to Valorant, perhaps it is due to try something different and see that Valorant is more dynamic and much more varied in terms of gameplay.
No les voy a mentir chicos, por ahora me está gustando más CS:GO pero no pienso dejar Valorant, al menos no todavía, creo que es un juego al que todavía le quedan muchas horas a las que le pienso dedicar mi tiempo, ambos son juegos basados en un mismo concepto, pero muy distanciados entre si en cuanto a parentezco, son experiencias totalmente distintas y que te puede gustar más uno que el otro, no creo que CS:GO sea mejor que Valorant, porque al final es una cuestión fuertemente subjetiva, todo depende de tus gustos, pero a nivel de desarrollo, CS:GO está mejor optimizado, es normal tener problemas técnicos en Valorant en algunas ocasiones, varias veces se me ha cerrado el juego o se me empiezan a caer los FPS de manera absurda.
I'm not going to lie guys, for now I'm liking CS:GO more but I don't plan to leave Valorant, at least not yet, I think it's a game that still has many hours left that I will dedicate my time to, both are games based on the same concept, but very distant from each other in terms of relationship, they are totally different experiences and you can like one more than the other, I don't think CS: GO is better than Valorant, because in the end it is a strongly subjective question, it all depends on your tastes, but at the development level, CS:GO is better optimized, it is normal to have technical problems in Valorant on some occasions, several times I have closed the game or I start to drop the FPS in an absurd way.
