Hi guys,
welcome to my blog. This week we are doing something different. I call it different cause it is something that I have never done before for any of my splinterlands contest entries. This week we are talking about scholarships on splinterlands. A lot of people might not know that these kind of a thing exist on splinterlands and this might be the very first that a lot of people might be hearing about it.
So scholarships on splinterlands basically mean that an account is provided to a player by his or her fellow splinterlands player which he or she can play with. Usually what happens is that the provider of the account is the sole owner of that account but his or her responsibilities are to provide the account with cards, delegated splinterlands which that player can play with and also maybe some energy at times. For me I think before someone gives you his or her account to manage it means you and that person might have built a certain level of trust that you are buddies and he or she can give you that opportunity.
Most times too the person who is being provided that account might have proven that he is a dedicated splinterlands player and at the end of the day he can rake in profits for him and his provider. What I have come to realize about scholarship accounts is no matter how you look at it it is a very good thing at the end of the day.
Here are some of the best practices as a manager of a scholar account. I will first of all like to state that most of this ideas are from my mind so a lot of them might differ from what you think.
first of all a manager of a scholar account should set boundaries. This is what a lot of people will call rules. I call it boundaries cause I believe at most times people provide scholarship accounts to people they already know and at times this can cause them to over look certain things. The thing is this is about money and so you should have a systematic approach to it so you can benefit from it.
You should tell the one you are handing the account over to as to how you expect the account to be used and also make sure that they are not trying to cheat the system with your account.
As much as you might have provided the account with good cards you should also give your player the room to request certain cards. With splinterlands things are always changing and you know that there are new cards which are always introduced to the game which are game changing. You should allow your scholar that room to be able to request a card which you can best provide if you are capable.
Also allow your scholar the space to be able to ask certain questions which will benefit him. You might have provided the necessary guide for that player but at times he or she needs more so you can help or give him the room to ask as many questions as he wants.
As much as you provide a lot of resources for the scholar you should also allow him or her room to operate. No one likes to be policed 24/7 so you should also allow him or make mistakes and also learn from them; most at times they are mistakes which are not costly.
Now let me look at some of the things that a scholar needs to do when managing a scholarship account.
As much as you’re trying to make maximum profit you should also try your best not to violate the terms of the agreement which has been set and have been agreed to by you. Many a time we try to micromanage and end up jeopardizing what we have build.
Sometimes it’s hard to deal with bosses. Yes, and this might relate to your manager as well. As much as it’ll be hard at times you should deal with issues at hand to prevent you from loosing that account.
As much as the scholarship account might be 100x better than your own account you should know that it will not be there forever. Some managers might make the sponsorship for a long time but we never know so strive to make the best out of it so that in future you can make something of your own.
