My progress so far:
My journey started on planet Nuscan Alpha in Sukukai system. I repaired my starship and left the planet. (log #1 ~ #2)
After scanning a few planets, I settled on planet Lepu II and built my first base. Hyperdrive for interstellar travel was installed to my starship.(log #3 ~ #4)
I visited planet Naenett Sigma to get blueprint for antimatter which is need for hyperdrive fuel(warp cell). After charging the hyperdrive, I warped to Kukiha XIII system, where I came a across a wrecked starship owned by a pilot named "Artemis". (log #5)
I was contacted by an alien entity called "Nada", and visited Space Anomaly, the space station managed by "Nada" and "Polo". Leaving Space Anomaly, I was contacted by Artemis. Communication signal is not so strong, so I need to find a communication tower to contact her again. I decided to drop by my base first to retrieve newly recovered data. (log #6)
I returned to my base on planet Lepu II in Suzukai system because newly recovered archive data was available at the base computer.
It was blueprint for storage container. I also got blueprint for solar panel from the construction research terminal.
I built the storage container and two solar panels to power it. Storage containers are especially useful in permadeath mode because every item has maximum amount per inventory slot. Solar panels are also essential. As a base expands, more electricity is needed. The next recovery data will be available in about 1.5 hours. I'll have to check the computer occasionally to extract new data.
I warped back to Kukiha XIII system and arrived at the communication tower called Holo-Terminus on planet Zahh IX. Using the communication tower's strong signal, I contacted Artemis again. It turns out that she's a traveler just like me.
She gave me blueprint of signal booster. She wants me to triangulate my location with it.
I built a signal booster and activated it on 3 different locations spanning 2 planets, Zahh IX and Leybir Prime. Along the way, I was attacked by pirates a few times but successfully took them out.
Also, I came across another wrecked starship, but I had to pass this one because I didn't have resources to repair it then. I should gather more resources to be ready for similar encounter in the future. Pirates are much more prevalent in permadeath mode. I really need a better starship.
After triangulation is complete, I was contacted by Artemis again. She wants me to find another Holo-Terminus so that we can exchange location data. I'm heading to a Holo-Terminus on Leybir Prime.
