Holo Bomb + X-Potato = Pure Carnage | HoloCure Stage 3 (with English Commentary)

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

HoloCure is a free Roguelite Shoot them-up game inspired by the likes of Vampire Survivor and Magic Survival.

I played Vampire Survivors and loved that game, that's why I gave this one a chance and it has been really fun and addictive so far. The progression has been slow and challenging but the weapon builds and unique characters with unique skills and weapons give it so much replayability.

Today, I will share another gameplay video with you. I recorded a run for my YouTube where I tried to clear Stage 3 which had been giving me some tough time. There is still a Stage 4 which will be unlocked after clearing this one and then some Hard levels of these four.

Upgraded my Mic and working on my English speaking skills

I have been trying to get better at my delivery but it might just take a lot of time. I don't feel very confident speaking in English and this is what I am trying to overcome. It doesn't help that English is my third language. But I can see the difference now. I also upgraded my mic as well. So, you can hear better voice quality. Let me share the video with you.

I went with Hakos Baelz as my character, she has an interesting weapon. She throws a dice and the number on the dice determines the attack damage. There are skills which improve crit chances and crit damage and she already starts with 10% Crit chances so she can be dangerous. I was also using the Tempura, a special dish you can cook which improved the attack to 40%. This gave me a lot of base attack damage.

Her stats are really good but her special attack is even deadlier. The Absolute Chaos launches all the weapons she has with zero delay for 5 seconds. This is so much more effective against bosses or in crunch situations. It had saved me more than once in my runs. You will see later in the video how some of the bosses died within seconds just because of this special attack and I tried my best to save it for them. This is a special meter which recharges after every use but it recharges in a minute or so... and bosses spawns are not that frequent.

My run started to take a different turn when I chose X-potato as my weapon. These potatoes bounce around the room and explode. They don't deal a lot of damage at first but with each level upgrade, they get bigger, better and more in number.

There is another weapon which explodes, the HoloBomb, these bombs deal a lot of damage and they are detonated just close to the character so they help out in tough situations. They get bigger, better and more frequent with each upgrade.

"I'm Die, Thank You Forever"

The game sometimes drops a golden anvil when you have two or more max-level weapons which can be combined to make a super weapon. I combined the Holo bomb and X-Potato and the collaboration was a deadly sticky bomb which sticks to enemies and creates a huge explosion once they are defeated.

Later, I combined two more weapons to create a Dragon's breath which was a barrage of fireballs launching in front of you. I was confident that I could finally clear this stage but the final boss at 20 mins surprised me with a jump attack and killed me instantly.

When the final boss appeared after 20 minutes, I wanted to see what it looked like but in this excitement, I ran straight towards it and took a lot of bullets. Half of my health was gone with those but the next thing it did was very unexpected. A jump which killed me instantly? That didn't feel fair and you can hear I was so disappointed at that point.

Also, please watch the video and give me some suggestions on how I can improve it. I am trying to bring more exposure to my YouTube channel and up the quality of every video I share. I am still a bit far from the quality standards that I want to achieve with these videos but I am making progress and that's the most important thing to me. If you reached it this far into the post, you are a legend.

Thanks for reading!
