Vampire Survivors - Unlocking Reroll & Collecting Sorceress' Tears

Reroll is clutch, and we find another Relic

(Unsupported https://youtu.be/OnAbihcOubI)

Today we're primarily looking to get Reroll - which will allow us to say 'nah fam, let's try that again' when we get a bad level-up choice. Getting this is key to negating some of the random-chance and allows us to better target certain builds. Paired with Banish and Skip, Reroll can make for a very tight build progression... and this is our first chance to snag it! There are a couple of tiers to Reroll, so there are other challenges we'll get once we complete this first one to earn even more reroll chances, but first we must unlock it.

The Build

Character: Mortaccio
Default Weapon: Bones [No Evolution!]
Bonus Stat: More projectiles every 20 levels to a max of +3

Weapon Picks

Default: Bones
1: Garlic
2: Cross
3: Pentagram
4: Axe
5: Rune Tracer

Secondary Picks

1: Torrona's Box
2: Duplicator
3: Crown
4: Pummarola
5: Clover
6: Candelabrador
7: [Map Pickup] Spellbinder

The Strategy

Ahhh Gallo Tower. The packs here are no joke and that's exactly what we want this run! Our projectiles are much more effective if they can hit a ton of monsters, which is part of the reason we pick this map. A secondary reason is that we're still looking to collect all of the Relics in these levels, and Sorceress' Tears is the last Relic we can collect in this map, so we might as well get two birds stoned at once.

We take the opportunity to grab Pentagram, which does end up nuking a few of our chests this run - one of the dangers of this weapon.

We also pick Garlic for the knockback effect. Our bones, axes, and cross all have varying knockback as part of the weapon, so increasing that with Garlic-touched monsters really helps us keep some distance in the early game.

This build is honestly the most dangerous in the early game (up to about the 10 minute mark), once we pass that time, we've got so many projectiles that we're already well on the way to being a mobile blender.

Focusing on damage in the mid-game (10-17-ish minute mark) will really help. We can build up our secondaries at the late-game stage as long as we can survive up to that point.

One last thing - any arcana that will add bounce to your projectiles or speed/area to your projectiles will be very useful with this build.

A second thing you can look out for is the Secondary that provides Weapon Cooldown - the faster your projectiles move and the quicker we can fire them off, the more damage you can do. You could likely replace Spinach in this build with the Weapon Cooldown, as the minor bonus to damage is likely not going to make a big difference, while the rapid-fire projectiles WILL do quite a lot of damage.

We managed to unlock O'Sole as a character, Reroll, Banish, Omni, and thanks to Sorceress' Tears, we've unlocked Hurry Mode.

Hurry Mode is a style of play that we'll get to in a future video - it increases the speed of everything which, once you've your unlocks done, is a super useful way to get through some of the slower early game of each map.

Until next time friends, Happy Gaming!
