In Claire's scenario, she can get at the Safety Deposit Room in R.P.D. or the Security Room in NEST. GM 79 is specialized in high enemies and CC while W-870 is versatile.

Original version has wide shot group, which causes projectiles go to the wrong places normally. But, if the grenade launcher has stock, its rounds fly to the target accurately. Yet, GM 79 doesn't have aim bonus.

The magazine is single, which makes reloding frequent after the gear firing. So, you should use 'hit and run'.

It uses 2 types of rounds that can be switched.

1. Flame Rounds
This rounds explodes with napalm flame. The initial damage is greatful and the rounds leaves DOT flame. The damage can effect on enemies in water. Flame Rounds is very harmful to lickers, G-adults, and ivies. Lickers and G-adults are in panic on flame; you can attack one more or run. Ivies are only died by this rounds. However, lickers are inflicted low damage while on ceiling or walls. And, ivies can stand one more when dynamic difficulty grows up. Bosses can be injurious by Flame Rounds especially G Type 2 but it isn't effectiveness. Flame Rounds only gets on field not from gunpowder combinations.

2. Acid Rounds
This rounds explodes with acid which inflicts small damage and stunning. When zombies are hit, their beated body parts are splited but armored zombies can't be cut or stunned. High-graded enemies such as lickers are stunned short. The main purpose is CC because of weak damage but fruitful stunning. That's why it's useful to speedrunning. Acid Rounds only gets from gunpowder combinations.

In Extra Modes, Konjac and Ghost use it - Konjac has only Flame Rounds but Ghost uses only Acid Rounds
