End of the Season in Splinterlands After the Changes in Questing

Greetings, Fellow NFT Card Game Quest Grinders!

The first season with the latest changes in Splinterlands, including shifting focus from Daily Quests to...Focus...ended yesterday.

Two major changes that could easily be felt were...

One — You have to play more in a day in order to reach your league's previous count of daily chests but you also can get to more chests at the end of season than the previous cap because you are grinding those and stacking them daily as well.

and...

Two - Chests have drop rates fixed and also...fixed to the tier you are in. Gold DEC is better now, multiplied by 8. The rest...I cannot directly measure.

I took no record of the daily chests earned but at End of Season

I had 45 to open instead of the previous 22.

And here they are!

First screen of 15 — a Gold card, and a Pack!

Second screen of 15 — nothing too amazing but the DEC count is still nice.

Third and final screen of 15 — a Golden Legendary!

I don't expect them to rain every season but being there at the end of the first one after the changes felt good. Adding some (almost) tangible value to the rewards.

I sold him, I bought a regular legendary — the Queen mushroom to bolster my Earth Splinter deck with some armor at a decent mana cost. And I kept the rest of the liquid DEC since I am after maximizing my SPS airdrop points while that lasts.

Here be Mr. Kinjo's Stats.

And the pack opening.

An Epic and the rest make for 145 Collection Power points which gives you less SPS drop than a closed pack but well, pack I do open out of curiosity and the desire to get more cards — bot bulk and quality.

I don't think I'd have the time to get as much rewards this season. But the experience of the first one was fine.

Conclusion...

Well, the higher you are in tiers, the more worth it your time spent should become, right? Not cheap to get there, though. But I still find it a good way to invest you time through the Bear times.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

M.
