The steampunk theme is deeply integrated into the PUBG Mobile 3.8 release through several core gameplay and design elements:
1. Steampunk Frontier Mode (New Themed Mode)
• Set in an alternate reality with steam-powered technology, brass aesthetics, and mechanical beasts.
• Features giant “Steam Train” battles, where players fight on or around moving trains with steampunk-style machinery.
• Custom weapon and outfit skins inspired by gears, goggles, and Victorian-era machinery.
2. Visual Design & Atmosphere
• Themed UI and lobby interface with bronze gears, pipes, and steam.
• Steampunk-style vehicle skins, parachutes, emotes, and even gear-like gun attachments.
3. New Steampunk Gear & Mechanics
• ODM (Omni-Directional Mobility) Gear crossover from Attack on Titan fits the steampunk motif.
• New in-game structures and map areas with industrial motifs, giant pistons, gears, and steam vents.
4. Cinematic Elements
• The 3.8 Cinematic Preview showcases trains roaring through dystopian cities, highlighting the fusion of old-world machinery with futuristic combat.
