@psyberx is a game that is stirring up a lot of buzz over the last few months, but, since the land plots went live (10,000) In total, with close to 700 sold already. As well as the commercial plots (50) In total with about 30 sold already. The hype has been going through the roof for this much-anticipated game.
We all love crypto and a lot of us love gaming, what Psyber X is doing is following the play-2-earn model. But, what it is doing differently than some of the other ones on the market, is that it will allow you to earn crypto actively, rather than passive models such as many of the popular games out at the moment.
Being able to join in and battle other players for the pot, is, I think, such a great idea for a game based in the crypto world. As these styles of games do great! Right now, and for many previous years. People pay to play games like the popular battle royale titles, FPS and TPS games and don't earn anything, regardless of how good they are at the game.
I'm excited about it and have bought two land plots and have been gathering up as much LVL as I can, which is the in-game currency.
The game itself takes place in a mega-city known as Zeelis and as you can see from any of the trailers out at the moment it is going for a dark, sci-fi, cyberpunk, aesthetic which is something that has always interested me. Now that I've filled you in on what the game is, I wanted to move on to the topic I wanted to cover for this post.
Would The Lore of Psyber X Interest You?
I know that it interests me, I think if you look at any game on the market they always have some kind of backstory and lore, which in fairness gets overlooked by a lot of the player base, in some cases. But, it leads to so many different avenues the game can go down and a way to attract a separate demographic of fans. As well as giving fans something to discuss, where the game is concerned.
Halo for example seems like a typical fast-paced shooter, but, has spawned a lot of novels, comics, live-action films, based on the Halo I.P, soon we're also getting a live-action TV show and even merch such as figures.
Fortnite on its surface is just a battle royale game, but, from season to season has an overarching storyline that connects the whole game. In some ways, it seems like a way to just add in different skins. But, still, at least it has some form of backstory.
Nearly every game has Lore attached, but, talking about these other games isn't why I'm writing this.
Instead, I wanted to ask the question to the growing Psyber X community. If there were Psyber X lore, videos, comics, or books. Would you be interested in them? Or are you simply interested in games for the gameplay?
As I said previously most gamers just want to play the game and the backstory to the franchise they like is just an afterthought. But, right now there are contests going on which are there to get the community involved in the world of the game, while potentially earning a nice amount of LVL in the process.

There is about a year to go before we can get our hands on Psyber X, but, competitions to incentivize the community to get involved are so important as it is what will lay the foundation for the world of Psyber X. So far the NFTs for the game each have lore, written for them, which is already starting to ignite a fire of creativity for this project.
The community members who get involved in contests like this have the potential to spawn stories within the lore, that could inspire that person to then continue on writing. Who knows where that could lead. So long as it expands the backstory of the game. I'm all for it. As much as I love sitting around and imagining what the game will be like when it releases, I think I would rather spend the time until the release reading some official Lore/ stories. Which I think would be great for searing the image of what Psyber X is, into my imagination. Which is the best place to sear something and the best way to establish a strong and long-lasting I.P.
