On the Verge of Infinite: Epic Conquest Battle with My Apocalypse Discard Deck | Marvel Snap

Hello Marvel Snap friends, once again this season I'm determined to get the Infinite Avatar in Conquest Mode.

Of all the decks I've tried this season, I'm sticking with the discard deck featuring Dracula, Modok, and Apocalypse. It's a very solid deck that can stand up against any other type, whether it's destruction, movement, Zoo, or the discard Meta with Hela.

Let’s take a look at the deck I'm talking about.

Classic discard deck

This deck gives me the best results in Conquest mode. With a good synergy of cards, it's easy to play and the results are impressive. It mostly includes low-cost cards that you can easily play in the early turns and that will grow in power throughout the game until the final turn.

Analyzing the deck

  • Blade: A perfect 1-cost card, allowing us to control which card to discard.
  • Morbius: Only costs 2 energy but can become one of the most powerful cards in the battle.
  • The Collector: Another low-cost card that increases its power as we gain cards in our hand.
  • Swarm: Our goal is to discard it as many times as possible to create 0-cost copies.
  • Colleen Wing: Her main goal is to discard Swarm.
  • Gambit: We discard a random card to destroy a random enemy card.
  • Moon Knight: Discards an even-cost card from our hand and from our enemy’s hand. Our aim is to discard Swarm, Proxima Midnight, or Apocalypse.
  • Lay Sif: Discards the highest-cost card in our hand, which should be Apocalypse.
  • Dracula: At the end of the game, discards a card from our hand and gains its power. We’ll try to keep Apocalypse as the last card.
  • Proxima Midnight: When discarded, she reappears at the location with the least power.
  • Modok: Discards our entire hand. Ideally, we’d play him on turn five to discard everything.
  • Apocalypse: If Dracula is in play, we don’t even need to play him. We should focus on increasing his power as much as possible by discarding him repeatedly.

How to play this deck

Playing with this discard deck is not complex, but we need to time our cards right so that by the end, we have what we need to surprise our opponent.

We should aim to get cards like The Collector, Morbius, and Dracula in play as early as possible in key locations, as these will bring us victory. We’ll also discard cards gradually to boost The Collector and Morbius. For this, Swarm is crucial, and we’ll need to discard it a couple of times to multiply it.

Finally, we’ll use Modok to discard our entire hand on turn 5, significantly boosting the power of The Collector and Morbius, allowing Dracula to absorb Apocalypse’s power on turn 6.

If everything goes well, we’ll have three very powerful cards on the battlefield and several others to fill the empty slots, with enough power to win the match.

Conquest Mode

Once again this season, I came so close to getting the Infinite Avatar. In this 35-minute battle, I faced an opponent using a deck with Arishem and Loki.

It was a very even match, with 2 ties (which is rare in the game), and I ultimately lost due to my opponent’s mana advantage and the fact that they used Loki from the first turn, making their strategy very smooth while disrupting my discard strategy.

Don't miss this epic duel!

Conclusion

I’ll keep pushing to get my long-awaited Infinite Avatar; I’m getting closer each time. I just need to fine-tune a few details, like my eagerness to snap too early, which often leads me to lose important matches.
