Grand Theft Auto VI should have YOU WORRIED!

The GTA 6 trailer had released a day earlier than expected, thanks to the leakers. And it honestly does look good. The trailers confirmed what the leaked pre-alpha footage showed us ( I’m looking at you random hiver who told me the footage was “fake” because it looked too “bad”). We will be playing as two protagonists, although only one is ever named in the trailer, and that is Lucia.

The trailer itself seems to place an emphasis on her, we see that she is the one who wears the pants in the relationship she has with Jason. Even taking the lead in a robbery. What we know about her character is very little outside of the fact that she was in jail, and presumably is just recently released.

We can also see that the trailer is placing some emphasis on social media, as we see posts that look to be from an in-game version of Instagram/TikTok. And I’m unsure how I feel about this.

But the highlight of the entire thing is getting to see Vice City again. The game will take place in Leonida state, a state that contains Vice City and other places, so we assume that we will be able to visit other cities! Which is what also was rumoured!

But despite the trailer actually looking alright for what it was, I have this creeping fear in the back of my head that this GTA will just be another Saints Row Reboot. And what do I mean? Well, Rockstar Games has made moves in the past to become more “PC”.

There was a group that got offended at the trans character in GTAV so Rockstar removed them. Statements and reports about the company have said that GTA VI will not “punch down” meaning they will not make fun of marginalized groups. But let’s be honest here, it seems that everyone these days claims to be a part of one of these groups for some sort of brownie points. Along with this they had said that they would be more “Culturally Sensitive”.

All of this is the complete opposite of what GTA is supposed to be. What was always awesome about the game was they made fun of anyone and everyone. Nothing was off of the table. And when I hear about this stuff I think of one word WOKE.

Now is this game going to be full blown woke? I would like to think no. But from Rockstar’s past actions it is definitely going to be more PC, which is always teetering the line of wokeness.

But I talk more about this stuff and more in the video below! And if you haven’t subscribed yet, why not do me a favor and hit that subscribe button if you enjoy the video!
