Gaming News of the Week!

I decided to start this to share some gaming news with my fellow gamers. If this goes well, I will do one weekly. I’ve scurried the darkest corners of the internet to bring you a couple of gaming stories I find interesting. These stories are all related to video games in one way or another. My hopes are to save YOU time and put the interesting Gaming News in one article instead of several!

Is Battlefield 2042 going to be a repeat of Battlefield V?

Bugs, bugs, and more bugs is what the latest update of Battlefield 2042 has to offer. The game created by Dice, has come under some heavy fire with its last updated that promised to fix many issues. Some PC players are experiencing an error when trying to load in a server that kicks them back to the main menu, while PS5 players are experiencing input lag on the main menu screen. Some PC players also aren’t able to use Horizontal mouse input. When it comes to Battlefield games, everyone knows to expect bugs. I’m sure a lot of gamers can remember the fiasco that Battlefield V went, their launch was riddled with bugs and each patch they provided seemed to cause even more bugs to appear. But looking back, we can see that Battlefield 4 had started out the same way, and they were able to redeem themselves later down the road. So the question remains, Will Battlefield 2042 go the way of Battlefield V or will it rise out of the ashes like a phoenix like Battlefield 4 did?

Titanfall devs to stop selling first game.

Hackers, everyone love em right? I remember the days of Call of Duty: World at War. I remember the blast I had playing it. After school, I’d rush home, hop on my ps3 and start a lobby with my friends. A few years ago I decided to take a gander down memory lane and boot up a multiplayer match of WaW, and by lord, there were more hackers in the lobby than fake boobs in a strip club. But this comes with the territory. Hackers have always targeted Call of Duty, but it never stopped the devs from selling the game. Unfortunately, this isn’t the same case with Respawn. Respawn has announced that they will stop selling Titanfall(2014) and remove it from all subscription based services. One can only guess it is because the resources and time it would require to stop hackers in a 7-year-old game isn’t worth it. Not to worry though, if you still enjoy playing the original Titanfall, Respawn has announced that the servers will remain up, for how long, though, no one knows.

The Roblox Corporation sues Youtuber.

Imagine this, you come home from a stressful day of work and all you want to do is relax, so you decide to boot up one of your favorite games. You’re having a blast, then suddenly you run into the dreaded troll. Every game has them. A person who just gets enjoyment out of being a dick, and admittedly at one point almost every gamer was a troll or at least has acted trollish. But when does it become too much? Is it when you make terroristic threats in hopes of shutting down a Developer conference? Or maybe when you get banned from a game, but keep finding ways to come back. Well, a Youtuber by the name of Benjamin Simon did just that, and to make it worse, he got famous for that very reason. The Roblox Cooperation has filed a lawsuit of $1.6 million dollars against Benjamin. Some of the things he is accused of doing are using racist and homophobic slurs, engaging in sexual discussion and harassment, as well as the incidents listed above. To make things worse, Roblox is a game aimed at kids. If the accusations against him are true, he is no better than a predator. Benjamin Simon is only 24 and has shown what “amazing”(Sarcasm) life he is going to live. Being the same age, I couldn’t imagine going into a kid’s game and engaging in the behavior he is accused of.
