Hello, Splinter Fanatics!
In Splinterlands, no battle will be the same as the previous ones, because it all depends on the collection of cards each player has, the rules of battle for the match and the strategy adopted by each player, among other things. There are endless possibilities that make each battle unique.
Sometimes you have to improvise, either because you don't have many options or to try out new strategies. Often we play on automatic and the choices of summoners and monsters are always the same, depending of course on the situation.
Sometimes, to get out of this rut, because every player has their favorite cards, I try to improvise with cards I don't use or use rarely. This gives us an idea of the cards that are lying around in our collection.
The cards in the Gladiator edition are a good example of this, as we have cards that are always used and others that are rarely used or have never been used by the player. For example, I often like to use Quora Towershead, Captain Katie and Katrelba Gobson. The other gladiator cards, on the other hand, I use very little, not because they're bad, but because they're my favorite cards.
Knowing these facts, we're going to show you a battle in which it's permissible to use a gladiator card. To get out of the routine, I decided to choose a gladiator card that I don't even remember if I ever used. **Orella Abadon was the gladiator chosen for this week's Social Media challenge.
This gladiator has low health, but with the Equalizer ruleset he becomes less vulnerable. It also has melee damage and the Sneak and True Strike abilities, the latter of which always hits the target.
The battle took place in the Modern format and featured only 25 mana available, plus the rulesets Even Stevens, Equalizer and Are You Not Entertained?. All Splinters were available, except Water and Earth. The two Splinters that were excluded have two gladiators that I like a lot, Quora and Isgald Vorst, so in the absence of them we're going to imprint and use a new gladiator that has been used infrequently.

My opponent used the new summoner from the rebellion edition, Cryptic. He also used the gladiator Tatiana Blayde, which is of legendary rarity and is also a card I like a lot, but it's not often that I get to use it.
In the first round, Orella Abadon manages to defeat an enemy monster from last position, which makes him even stronger after activating his Bloodlust ability.
In this battle Tatiana Blayde didn't manage to activate her ability Bloodlust, otherwise we might have had problems. At the end of the battle Orella Abadon manages to activate his Bloodlust ability several times, which makes it even harder to hit him.
When I use a gladiator, I like to climb monsters that have the ability Martyr to stand next to that monster. In this battle I used Vruz for this function. His death increased our gladiator's power even more.
A few points to note:
In this battle our team was at a disadvantage, because the new summoner allows us to see our cards before the battle starts, with Tatic Stage.
The opponent chose two cards to add the Poison ability: Tatiane Blayde and Weirding Warrior.

Em Splinterlands nenhuma batalha será igual as anteriores, pois tudo depende da coleção de cartas que cada jogador possui, das regras de batalhas da partida e da estratégia adotada por cada jogador, dentre outros. Existe uma infinidade de possibilidades que tornam cada batalha impar.
As vezes é preciso improvisar, seja por não ter muitas opções, seja para testar novas estratégias. Muitas das vezes jogamos no automático e as escolhas de invocadores e monstros são sempre as mesmas, a depende é claro da situação.
As vezes para sair dessa rotina, pois todo jogador tem suas cartas preferidas, eu arrisco improvisar com cartas que não utilizo ou utilizo raramente. Isso faz com que tenhamos noção das cartas que ficam paradas em nossa coleção.
As cartas da edição Gladiator são um bom exemplo disso, pois temos cartas que são sempre utilizadas e outras raramente são utilizadas ou nunca foram utilizadas pelo jogador. Por exemplo, eu gosto de utilizar com frequencia Quora Towershead, Captain Katie e Katrelba Gobson. Enquanto, as demais cartas de gladiadores eu utilizo bem pouco, não porque elas sejam ruim mas porque essas são as minhas cartas preferidas.
Sabendo desse fatos vamos mostrar uma batalha em que é premitido utilizar uma carta de gladiador. E para sair da rotina resolvi escolher uma carta de gladiador que nem lembro se algum dia a utilizei. Orella Abadon foi o gladiador escolhido para o desafio do Social Media dessa semana.
Esse gladiador possui pouca saúde, mas com o ruleset Equalizer torna-se menos vunerável. Além disso, possui dano melee e as habilidade Sneak e True Strike, esta última sempre acerta o alvo.
A batalha aconteceu no formato Moderno e contou com apenas 25 de mana disponível, além disso as rulesets Even Stevens, Equalizer e Are You Not Entertained?. Todos os Splinters estavam disponíveis, exceto Água e Terra. Esse dois Splinters exclusos possuem dois gladiadores que gosto muito, Quora e Isgald Vorst, então na falta deles vamos improsar e utilizar um novo gladiador que utilizou com pouca frequência.

Meu adversário utilizou o novo invocador da edição rebellion, Cryptic. Além disso, utilizou a gladiadora Tatiana Blayde, que é de raridade lendária e também é uma carta que gosto muito, porém não é sempre que dar para utilizá-la.
Na primeira rodada, Orella Abadon consegue derrotar um monstro inimigo da última posição o que o torna ainda mais forte após ativar sua habilidade Bloodlust.
Nesta batalha Tatiana Blayde não conseguiu ativar sua habilidade Bloodlust, caso contrário poderiamos ter problemas. Ao final da batalha Orella Abadon consegue ativa sua habilidade Bloodlust várias vezes, o que o torna ainda mais díficil de acertá-lo.
Quando utilizo gladiador gosto de escalar monstros que possuem a habilidade Martyr para ficar adjancente a esse monstro. Nessa batalha utilizei Vruz, para esta função. Com a sua morte aumentou ainda mais o poder do nosso gladiador.

Nessa batalha nosso time estava em desvantagem, pois o novo invocador permite ver nossas cartas antes da batalha começar, com Tatic Stage.
