Elden Ring es un juego de RPG de acción aventura el cual es desarrollado por **FromSoftware **y publicado por Namco Bandai y dirigido por el legendario Hidetaka Miyazaki y el novelista de fantasía R.R. Martin. Elden Ring fue uno de los juegos más esperados del primer cuarto del 2022 y rompió records en ventas en sus primeros días.
Desde su salida, el juego ha sido un éxito, inundando todo internet de noticias, guías y videos acerca del juego y el lore que conlleva. Debido a ésto, muchos speedrunners han estado compitiendo para ver quien termina el juego en el menor tiempo posible y hasta ahora el récord se lo lleva un streamer/youtuber Distortion2 el cual ha logrado terminar Elden Ring en 8 minutos con 56 segundos y esto lo logra usando un glitch llamado “Zipping” el cual al hacer una combinación de teclas en el momento exacto hace que el personaje salga volando grandes distancias haciendo que todas las cinemáticas de la historia las omita incluyendo los combates contra los jefes, incluso contra el jefe final.
Esta modalidad de speedrun, al ser cualquier porcentaje y sin restricciones, hace que los speedrunners abusen de los bugs en el juego para poder lograr su cometido.

Since its release, the game has been a success, flooding the internet with news, guides and videos about the game and its lore. Due to this, many speedrunners have been competing to see who can finish the game in the shortest time possible and so far the record is held by a streamer/youtuber Distortion2 who has managed to finish Elden Ring in 8 minutes and 56 seconds and this is achieved using a glitch called "Zipping" which by making a key combination at the exact moment makes the character fly long distances making all the story cinematics to be skipped including the boss fights, even against the final boss.
This speedrun mode, being any percentage and without restrictions, makes the speedrunners abuse the bugs in the game to achieve their goal.
