This year is proving to be one of the best years for fighting game lovers, so many times I've seen some of the hundreds of videos on Youtube commenting on some of the rumours of what is currently the most popular of all fighting game releases this year, Mortal Kombat 1 is proving to be a hype train with the new reinterpretation of its characters and story as well as the new gameplay mechanics they are proposing.
A few hours ago they dropped two more huge trailers at San Diego Comic-con to give us a little more insight into the magnitude of the event, one was like the classic trailers we've been seeing where they introduce a little more about the story, new characters and let us see a little bit of the movesets of these characters while the other was strictly to announce some of the characters that will be coming in the expansions that the game is going to have.
A side note on the expansion pack that adds up to 6 new characters to the roaster, including some that fans have been speculating for a while now that are from IPs other than Mortal Kombat, I have conflicted feelings about this pack as it will most likely be paid for and have several characters behind a paywall, rather than fully integrated into the game, I know that DLCs are a norm in gaming today, still I don't really like these pre-release announcements.
Still I think they are aiming pretty high with this new release, a new universe where there is a whole rework of many of the classic characters, the story mode as well as the mechanics of the new fighting system leave a lot to be desired to play it, I personally can't wait to see the full roaster, there will be two counting the base fighters along with the kameo system which will surely bring variety to the gameplay.
They dropped a couple of hints as well about the story they are going to tell in this installment, as I said a lot of what we know from Mortal Kombat changes drastically in this installment and even though MK is not as well known for its campaigns I come to really like all the lore of the characters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is coming out on September 19th so we are still in time for another trailer which is apparently coming out in a few hours also at Comic-Con, I don't expect much from that one because I think they have already given us enough hints and glimpses of what the game is going to be like but it should still be interesting, maybe they will announce a second pack of fighters like they did today, or maybe a behind the scenes as I heard from some rumors, still I am excited to see more, I want more about this game.

Este año esta probando ser uno de los mejores para los amantes de los juegos de lucha, tantas veces habre visto algunos de los cientos de videos que hay en Youtube comentando algunos de los rumores del que es a dia de hoy el mas popular de todos los lanzamientos de este estilo este año, Mortal Kombat 1 esta siendo todo un tren de hype con la nueva reinterpretación de sus personajes e historia asi como con las nuevas mecanicas jugables que proponen.
Hace algunas horas dejaron caer otros dos trailers enormes en la San Diego Comic-con para entender un poco mas la magnitud del evento, uno fue como los clasicos trailers que venimos viendo en donde se presenta un poco mas acerca de la historia, nuevos personajes y nos dejan ver un poco de los moveset de estos personajes mientras que otro fue estrictamente de anunciar algunos de los personajes que vendran en las expansiones que va a tener el juego.
Un comentario aparte sobre el paquete de expansion que agrega hasta a 6 nuevos personajes al roaster, incluyendo algunos que los fans habian estado especulando desde hace rato y que son de IPs distintas a Mortal Kombat, tengo sentimientos conflictivos sobre este paquete ya que seguramente sera pago y tendra varios personajes detras de un paywall, en vez de integrarlos plenamente en el juego, se que los DLCs son una norma en el videojuego de hoy, aun asi no me termina de gustar estos anuncios antes del lanzamiento.
Aun asi creo que estan apuntando bastante alto con esta nueva entrega, un nuevo universo en donde hay un retrabajo entero de muchos de los personajes clasicos, el modo historia asi como las mecanicas del nuevo sistema de lucha dan mucho que desear para jugarlo, yo personalmente no puedo esperar a ver el roaster completo, habran dos contando la base de luchadores junto con el sistema de kameo que seguramente traera variedad al gameplay.
Dejaron un par de pistas tambien sobre la historia que van a contar en esta entrega, como dije mucho de lo que conocemos de Mortal Kombat cambia drasticamente en esta entrega y aunque MK no sea tan conocido por sus campañas a mi me llega a gustar mucho todo el lore de los personajes.
Mortal Kombat 1 se estrena el 19 de Septiembre asi que aun estamos a tiempo para otro trailer que al parecer se va a estrenar en unas horas tambien en la Comic-Con, no espero mucho de ese porque creo que ya nos han dado suficientes pistas y vistazos de lo que va a ser el juego pero aun asi sera interesante, quiza anunciaran un segundo pack de luchadores tal como lo hicieron hoy, o quiza un detras de camaras como escuche de unos rumores, aun asi estoy emocionado de ver mas, quiero mas sobre este juego.
