Welcome to Another Review
Bless Unleashed is a free-to-play MMO role-playing game developed by Round 8 Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is available for PS4 and Xbox One. This review is a first impression take on the game based on around 15 to 20 hours of gameplay.
Firstly, you have to create your adventurer and the character creator is excellent. You have a variety of classes to choose from and you can really create a unique-looking protagonist for the adventure ahead. Then, you're thrust into an open world with other players and you're free to explore it as you see fit. There are plentiful missions to complete and NPCs to chat with. Although, the dialogue is a bit threadbare in terms of quality. After a short series of fetch quests, you'll find yourself in some skirmishes and the combat is pretty basic to learn one issue is the character movements feel quite wooden and lacking any real fluidity.
I also noticed a fair amount of button lag but it's nothing that will ruin the experience just a minor annoyance. Combat is broken down into strikes special moves blocks dodging and the like your character can acquire blessings obtain mounts to travel the lands with. You can even own your own estate. One good feature is the loot system and you'll be able to customize your adventure right from the get-go with new weapons armor pieces and gear.
You can bleach or die certain items. You can mine for resources team up with other players or even do a spot of fishing. Why is fishing in every game can someone answer me that in the comments? You've also got crafting looting dead enemies magic trade gear leveling and many other role-playing game staples. The world looks pretty nice for this sort of game but it's perhaps a bit sparse at times.
So, in summary, it's a pretty accessible MMO that doesn't require too much early game grinding to get into it. The performance of the game was also great with no crashes glitching or technical performance problems. Graphically, the main character looks great and again the character creator allows for some brilliant customization. The game world is interesting to look at and varied although some of the textures do look a little bit blocky. The sound is a little hit and misses with some inconsistent sound levels and subpar voice acting but generally, it's okay.
The character creator is excellent. The game world is well crafted and it's a game that has a quick start and avoids any overly long prologue. The technical performance was very good there are good crafting and customization options and it's a game that seems to have a lot of potentials. The combat animations are tired and wooden the audio levels and voice acting are inconsistent and the missions aren't exactly riveting.
Final Thoughts
Initially, This game felt quite similar to other MMOs I've played in recent times but from the 20 hours, I played I'd say it's one of the better examples of the genre with a relatively quick start, clear menus, and a game that doesn't take too long to get into. It's got a very good character creation system a nice looking and vast game world and lots of busy work to keep you occupied. The story isn't that interesting but then again that's the one big issue with these types of expansive online role-playing games. They're designed to keep you coming back for session after session and it's the combat and exploration that aims to do that. The combat, however, is a problem it's not the best but at least the technical performance was very good something that other MMOs could definitely take note of so overall based on my first impressions I was pretty impressed and it's definitely a game I'd like to explore further unfortunately though I didn't have time for MMO fans, I'd say bless unleash seems like a good addition to the genre and it's well worth giving it a go.
