It was the final phase of the game. Only the boss was left and all other quests were complete.

I elected Solomon to fight the prisoner as I was accustomed with it’s resolve gain play. I claimed another ability for Solomon just for good measure. Hoping that it would’ve been sufficient but alas I didn’t that that it would take me so long to beat him.

The guy was sulking at that fact that the greatness of the glands were not meant for him but me hence he wanted to take it from him. Weird way to ask for favours I must add, not surprising seeing it from a villain’s twisted sense of thinking.

For a game with low resolution, I liked the animation here. How slowly and elegantly with delicate steps the guy shifted from his position until finally diving into the water.

The fight was on. I didn’t know how he would attack me, didn’t watch any video on it. You can see me dying for at least 7 times where I went far into the second attacking phase. As the fight dragged on my health boosting items were exhausting until I was left with almost zero items. The rest were not used yet so I didn’t know they effects and didn’t take a chance. It’s a mini dark souls game after all.

After beating the boss, I was given a choice: to ascend or not. Ascension would lead me to the end of the game and immediately would put me inside a new game+ mode. Declining it would take me back to the boss fight where I would have to fight this flightless metal headed eagle again. It was annoying, the boss fight. I decided to ascend. The character ripped the gland of the prisoner and removed his own shell. Cool animations. The guy was swept up in the air and he went skywards.

Another ending scene of the game. This is the second ending that I saw.

I was taken back to the tower in front of sister Ganessa. I took Harros, The Vassal and attained an ability. I used some glimpses and tar here.

I, then went straight to the workbench and saw the weapon. None of the weapon were upgraded. They went back to the level zero except for the basic upgrades. They were still there and only the damage level was back to square 1. The level on the parry was still the same.

I took Vassal for a spin. I used his abilities and was taken a back. It proved to be quite useful and could’ve been used against the boss. It was a good addition, the ability to regenerate stamina when hardening.

Then I used all of those items that I didn’t use and was disheartened to see all the useful stuff that I could’ve used to avoid the brutal confrontation with the boss. I used the tar and glimpse providing items all at once before meeting with the friendly Brigand.

Sat with the kind brigand and saw the life pass on with what little was left. Another ending of the game. Loved it to and through yet not going to attempt a platinum.

Saw the end of the ending.

I wanted to spend some of my acquired tar from using the items on Eredrim and only had one more ability left to take. Didn’t stick long enough to get it and made the game another sweet memory for another time.

Enjoy the gameplay.
