For this week'theme, we had to sing a Disney song, and I instantly went for "Beauty and the Beast" from the movie. This song has been one of my all-time faves because I literally grew up watching the movie on repeat. Belle was my girl—she's obsessed with books, and honestly, same!
When I was younger, I heard people making weird comments about the movie, like they were fixated on the whole bestiality angle. But honestly, that’s just people oversexualizing things. The real message is so much deeper and way more beautiful. It’s about looking past someone’s exterior and loving them for who they are inside—even the parts that aren’t “perfect.” That’s the vibe I wanted to bring to my performance, and I hope it came through.
