As usual, there's 1 HSBI to be won in each post, but whoever wins the most victories over the 10 days (at least 2), will receive the treasure (5 HSBI) as a bonus.
In the event of a tie, the treasure will be shared, rounded up.

THE VILLAGE DIARY:
Yesterday we failed to recover a chest full of gold coins from the hold of a wreck, as it was the lair of a giant octopus.
We did, however, manage to get 5 coins, just barely.
But we decided to go back at low tide with a plan.
After lengthy discussions, a direct fight with the octopus didn't seem realistic, as the space was cramped for a fight and we risked injuring ourselves using spikes. What's more, the octopus has a serious advantage: it knows every nook and cranny of the hold, which remains partly flooded, and it has 8 impressive tentacles.
Our tactic is to lure her out of the wreck to give a small group time to recover the chest.
To lure it out, we've attached multiple polished kitchen utensils to a rope, as it seems to be attracted by anything shiny.
This appt was thrown into the hold through a breach in the hull, and we waited for her to grab it before pulling.
But nothing happened, and we re-threw the bait several times without success.
Finally, a small group went down into the hold to observe, but it was empty, no octopus and unfortunately no treasure chest.
The giant octopus must have found a new hiding place and taken its treasure with it - too bad for us, we'd have made good use of it.
Now all we have to do is leave the beach, head for the nearest port and find out about the possibility of a crossing.

LE JOURNAL DU VILLAGE:
Nous avons échoué hier à récupérer un coffre rempli de pièces d'or dans la cale d'une épave, car c'était le repaire d'une pieuvre géante.
Nous avons pu cependant obtenir 5 pièces, de justesse.
Mais nous avons décidé d'y retourner à la marée basse suivante avec un plan.
Après de longues discussions, une lutte directe contre la pieuvre ne nous a pas semblé être réaliste, l'espace est exigu pour un combat et nous risquions de nous blesser en utilisant des épieux. De plus elle a un sérieux avantage, elle connait les moindres recoins de la cale qui reste en partie inondée et elle a quand même 8 tentacules impressionnants.
La tactique que nous avons mise en place consiste à l'attirer hors de l'épave pour laisser à un petit groupe le temps de récupérer le coffre.
Pour l'attirer au dehors, nous avons attaché à une corde de multiples instruments de cuisine préalablement polis car elle semble attirée par ce qui brille.
Cet appt a été lancé dans la cale par une brèche dans la coque, et nous avons attendu qu'elle s'en empare pour tirer.
Mais rien ne s'est passé, nous avons relancé l'appât plusieurs fois sans succès.
Finalement un petit groupe est descendu dans la cale pour observer, celle ci était vide, pas de pieuvre et malheureusement plus de coffre au trésor.
La pieuvre géante a dû se chercher une nouvelle cachette en emportant son trésor, dommage pour nous, nous en aurions fait bon usage.
Il ne nous reste plus qu'à quitter la plage, rejoindre le port le plus proche et nous renseigner sur la possibilité d'une traversée.
