How well you can control the battlefield ? | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hi, Splinterlands warriors! This time, I want to share an exciting experience from one of the most intense battles I've ever had. Imagine, I had to face a tricky ruleset: Fog of War and Five Alive. These two conditions really made me think hard about the best strategy to use. To top it off, my opponent's summoner was at max level. Let's dive into the story!

Battle Preparation

As usual, I chose Quix the Devious as my trusted summoner at level 3. Quix's ability to reduce the opponent's ranged attacks gave my team a big advantage. With the Fog of War ruleset, I knew I couldn't rely on Sneak or Snipe abilities, so I had to be more strategic in building my team.

For my lineup, I selected monsters that could endure long battles while dealing significant damage. Here's my complete team:

  • Void Dragon (Level 3) – This monster has Flying, Void, and Phase, making it agile in dodging magic attacks. I placed it in the front to absorb the opponent's damage.
  • Twilight Basilisk (Level 6) – With Reach and Stun abilities, this monster was a perfect choice for the second position. Its stun ability could often be the key to victory.
  • Venari Bonesmith (Level 5) – This monster has Life Leach and Poison, allowing it to continuously drain the opponent’s life and last longer in battle.
  • Revealer (Level 3) – With its magic attack and Stun ability, Revealer was the right card to strengthen my middle line.
  • Ravenhood Warden (Level 5) – This monster provided additional protection with Protect and increased my team’s attack with Inspire. The extra protection was crucial to boosting my team's endurance.

On the opposing side, they used Thaddius Brood (Level 8) as their summoner. This was a serious threat because Thaddius could reduce both the magic power and health of my monsters. My opponent also had dangerous monsters like Cursed Windeku, Venari Bonesmith, and Revealer. This battle was going to be intense!

Round 1: The Battle Begins

The battle started, and Thaddius Brood's effect immediately hit hard. My Revealer's magic power was drastically reduced, and I knew this wouldn’t be easy. But, Quix managed to lower the opponent’s ranged attacks, which gave my team a slight advantage.

The most intense moment in this round was when Twilight Basilisk landed a stun on Cursed Windeku. This stun was a lifesaver since Windeku couldn’t heal itself. Meanwhile, Void Dragon skillfully dodged several of the opponent's magic attacks. A promising start!

Round 2: Early Advantage

In the second round, Cursed Windeku, still stunned, couldn’t do anything, and my team successfully took it down. It felt like a breath of fresh air since Windeku was one of the toughest monsters in the opposing team.

Round 3: Relentless Attack

Next, my attack focused on the opponent’s Life Sapper. I kept up the pressure with continuous attacks from my team, and another timely stun left my opponent overwhelmed. By the end of this round, Life Sapper was taken out, weakening my opponent even further.

Round 4: The Battle Heats Up

In this round, the opponent's Revealer was in the front line. Despite its strong attack, my team's cooperation steadily reduced its HP until the monster finally fell. The opponent was left with only Venari Bonesmith, but I knew it wasn’t time to relax yet.

Round 5: A Thrilling End

The opponent’s Venari Bonesmith still held on, but my Void Dragon stood strong at the front. With my team’s final attack, Bonesmith was defeated, leaving Ravenhood Warden as the last monster standing. Without much difficulty, my team took it down, and the victory was mine!

Battle Reflection

This battle taught me a lot, especially about the importance of adaptability. With Fog of War and Five Alive rulesets, it's crucial to have a flexible team that can adapt to various situations. The stuns from Twilight Basilisk and Revealer were key to my victory, along with Void Dragon's ability to dodge attacks, which allowed it to stay alive longer on the battlefield.

The main lesson? Sometimes it’s not about how strong your attacks are or how high the opponent's card levels are, but how well you can control the battlefield. A well-timed stun or dodging critical attacks can turn the tide of the battle. And never underestimate support monsters like Ravenhood Warden, which can provide crucial buffs for your team!

So, that’s my battle story this time. If you’ve had any exciting experiences in Splinterlands, don’t hesitate to share! May your cards always lead you to victory!
