Yesterday, I embarked on an important journey to Nassarawa State, a crucial step towards realizing my academic dreams. My destination was the university I'd soon call home, and I was determined to prepare for this new chapter. Little did I know, the journey would test my resolve.
We departed around 10 PM, eager to beat the morning traffic. The initial hours flew by smoothly, but as the night wore on, the road conditions become more worse. The once-smooth ride became a bumpy, unpredictable adventure.
The first hurdle hit us unexpectedly. A stretch of severely potholed road forced our driver to take a detour. We went off the main road, navigating through dusty, uneven terrain. This was only the beginning. Two more roadblocks lay ahead, each requiring another detour. Our journey, expected to last nine hours, had already exceeded that estimate.
As the hours ticked by,The darkness outside seemed to stretch on forever, and the constant jolts from the rough roads made sleep impossible. Yet, we pressed on, driven by determination. Tho during my travel I came across the great river benue 😂😂
Finally, after twelve grueling hours, the first light of dawn crept over the horizon. We had made it to Nassarawa State, tired but triumphant. The exhaustion melted away as I gazed upon the sight of my grandma because I will be staying with her before I finished my admission process symbolizing a new beginning.
As I settled into my new surroundings, I knew that this journey was only the beginning. The trials of the road had prepared me for the academic journey ahead. I was ready to face whatever challenges lay in store.
My journey to Nassarawa State was more than just a trip; it was a testament to the human spirit's capacity for perseverance. Though the roads were treacherous, my determination remained unwavering.
