🎇 SUBJECT:

THIS WORLD IS A SLIPPERY GROUND

📕TODAY'S TEXT:

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall (1 Corinthians 10:12).

🔑🔐 KEY VERSE:

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

💞 CENTRAL TRUTH
As a Christian who is surrounded by a hostile atmosphere and is fighting to survive, you must know that this world is a slippery ground.

🖊️ MAIN DISCOURSE:

You can't outgrow slipping off. You can only avoid slipping by being careful.

If you find yourself on slippery ground, know that being strong will not help you. But being wise and careful will save you.

In our text for today, the Apostle Paul advised the Corinthian church with these words: "Let the one that thinks he is standing be careful, lest he falls".

The world we live in is not convenient for serving God in spirit and in truth.

Living holy for God on earth is like charging towards the wind when it's blowing in your direction.

You need to be stable and careful if you are going to stand for God on earth as a living testimony of Jesus Christ.

Many strong Christians have fallen in the past, and many are still slipping off. It's not a matter of strength but a matter of applying wisdom and being tactful, and also receiving the help of the Holy Spirit.

If God does not help you through His Spirit, falling becomes very easy.

🔥CALL TO SURRENDER

"If you would like to give your life to Jesus, you can do so by saying this prayer:"

"Lord Jesus, I come to you a sinner. I ask that You forgive my sins. I accept you into my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank You for saving me, in Jesus' name - Amen."

🙏PRAYER:

Father, please keep me from slipping and falling as I journey through my life on earth, in Jesus' name - Amen.
