TOPIC: BE CAREFUL GO
BIBLE TEXT:
Jeremiah 9:24
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.
KEY VERSE:
He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love" (1 John 4:8 KJV).
INTRODUCTION
People's ignorance of God is the one problem facing the world today. Many people who believe they understand God are incorrect.
THE MESSAGE
Every other difficulty stems from this main one. Peoples' ignorance of God is the root cause of every sin. People would adore God, respect Him, aspire to be like Him, and wish to please Him if they truly know who He is. Many are children of God Almighty as they claimed, but they are very very far from God. The reason is, they don't know God. They know nothing about who God is, what He do can do. They don't even know where to look for Him.
WHO IS GOD ALMIGHTY?
This is a million dollar question. Many people may think they know the answer. They may say one thing or the other about what they know or think. Everyone's opinion is right to such a person. The Bible tells us who God Almighty is. How one can easily identify God Almighty.
GOD ALMIGHTY IS LOVE
People who are unaware of God's attributes and nature believe He is unjust or a demanding boss. The truth is that God is the most kind, generous, and selfless being there is. He works for our good in whatever He does. All He is after is that we will have a good ending. There is an end to every way. Everything that has a beginning has also an ending. Therefore, since life started one day, one other day it will come to an end. People who know this truth always respect God.
God Almighty Is Love. That is His nature. He needs everyone who comes to Him, who claims to be His own to have the same nature. "Outside that concept, means you do not know God".
And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth (Exodus 34:6).
DO YOU KNOW THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD ALMIGHTY?
Although the religious authorities of Jesus' day believed they knew God, when He spoke to them, they referred to Him as the devil. I don't blame them because they did not know Jesus Christ as the only Son of God Almighty. They only knew as the legitimate son of Joseph and Mary. So, to introduce himself as the Son of God Almighty, is a blasphemy (i.e. "insult against God Almighty). That is why they called Jesus Christ, a devil.
Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also (John 8:19 KJV).
Look at Jesus if you want to understand what God is really like. If you look at how Jesus behaved in the four Gospels, you will see how God behaves. Jesus Christ is the 'EXPRESS IMAGE' of the Father, Jehovah, the Almighty God. Jesus Christ is the Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent God.
Read what Jesus Christ said about Himself in John 12:45, "And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me" (KJV).
You are misled if you believe that God is not Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Jesus Christ showed exactly who Got Almighty is and what He looks like.
All of the prior information about God that we had was insufficient until the express IMAGE emerged.
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him (John 1:18 KJV).
I have had the unique fortune of knowing God over a long period of time. God is good, I'm here to tell you that! He is faithful, trustful, and dependable! You will like Him more as you get to know Him better.
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him (PSALM 34:8 KJV).
