The world is a street of competition, where everyone strives for perfection and at the same time, even in our imperfect state get to judge others. We would not know how strong we are, until we make a bold step to overcome our weakness.
We are not perfect, oftentimes we achieve moments of near-perfection, yet none of us are able to attain and maintain that true perfection we do desire in life. Before God we are all the same, Imperfect but love-able by God that is why he releases his strength to us in our weakness. Though we observe others imperfections and start judging them, we are being unfair, because we also have some imperfection.
Some of our imperfections can be seen on the outside, yet most are unseen to the eye. Many of our imperfections are hidden. This is where we struggle the most such as greed, arrogance, hate, jealousy, fear, and other sins of the heart. As such we must not gloat about our strengths or take pride when we are right! Instead, we should be humbled by our areas of needed growth. Our strengths may indeed be another’s weakness, however our weakness is also the strength of another, because our strength lies within our weakness and our weakness within our strength..
Being able to accept and admit weaknesses demonstrates great maturity and strength. Getting beyond the stigmas associated with not being good at something is necessary for good mental health. Those who allow themselves to be diminished by their weaknesses often turn to negative beliefs and self-doubt. It can be crippling, devastating and painful. It is better to eliminate whatever poisons ourselves, we ought to dredge it up, deal with it and make peace with ourselves and others.
God can use us more effectively when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and admit our weaknesses. When we are open and honest about where we can authentically connect with others, without having a bias mind, there can the mask be removed and true relationships can emerge. Only then can the strength of love be best expressed in our hearts and lives around us would be blessed as well. God doesn’t require perfection but he requests humility, acceptance and a desire to love others as ourselves. It is through our weakness that God can assert his strength and bring us closer to Him and His Love, bringing His Love to hurting ones.
Most times we are super strong outwardly. Having incredible internal strength, however we are resilient, we have setbacks, we are faced with hardships, and we journey through storms and experience all sorts of tests, and all these are bound to drain our strength, leaving us weak and empty, but in all, there is still that hidden strength that we have not exercised. All those things come as a test. Some days we are pressing on and other days we can be merely holding on; yet whatever we are currently going through or face in the future, strength will rise and God will give us what we need to do whatever he has called us into. Only when we believed that our strength lies in him. Because in God's providence, he gives us our weaknesses just as he gives us our strengths. We also have the right to accept and live as we are. We may simply agree to acknowledge our skill deficits and live with them, especially if they seem inconsequential to our happiness and productivity.
So behind every weakness in us lies an Unpredictable Strength, it lies in us to manifest it.
