Saturday Night Rambling | Paying More For Shitty Services

It has been over three weeks now that I have had to accompany my dad to the hospital and had to go twice or thrice in a week just so we know what's the way forward.

During the lockdown, my dad had some health issues that need operating with a 50% chance or stick to a taking drugs for almost the rest of his life. He's not one to be comfortable with anything that deals with operating or cutting people, so he said he's would give drugs a try. He wouldn't even let mom go for CS when the doctors back then said it would be hard for mom to deliver alone. But of course, things went smooth, and I was able to come into this world with both mom and in good health. I can understand that it's scary to even give someone a percentage of either they would live or die.

That is not my point anyway, but rather how the health care sector nowadays has chosen to neglect numerous things but focusing only on the money.

I know that hospitals are a business venture, no doubt about that, however there are some things that should be in order like for instance we had to do two tests just for us to be able to know the present state of dads illness and to see how much improvement is being made to make adjustment in terms pf drugs use.

The two tests we were asked to conduct however have been a whole lot of stressful situations as the first place that does the first test scheduled another 5 days for us before we can get results, while the other one is in almost a week from now.

Assuming I wasn't here during the lockdown period, I wouldn't have understood how things were working before and how it is now. Back then, tests usually take at most 24 hours because their standby generator was always working.

But today things are not that way anymore as they said, because of inconsistent power and their standby generator not in fully functional condition anymore they have to wait for when there is power which is not that consistent

This is why they need to schedule a time to conduct all the tests and collate the result. I honestly don't have much to say, but I just wish things were much better than it was back then, but instead its getting worse.

Even while their services are getting worse their service are also becoming more expensive at the same time, and this is one of the best health care center you can find in the whole state.
