The art of saying no is a skill that no human has perfected yet, some people might put on an outer show show when this kind of topics are discussed as a means to show that they have every decision under control but somewhere deep down, there are some situations or occasions where an individual can not always reject an offer because of what is involved. Saying no can be easy and at the same time be complicated given the scenerio involved. The art of saying no could be in areas that involves family, friends, colleagues, robbers, bosses, religion and so on.

As an individual, it is okay to Recognize the fact that you have you own Limitations and you you unnecessarily exceed them you break down mentally and physically, in other words, prioritizing our well-being should be a top concern. The art of saying is logically based on Understandung the extent and capacity of task you can perform. In this case I would say that humility is not equivalent to stupidity, some overbearing people tend to take others for granted because they are dutiful and can go to extent to get a job done. Because of this, they engage them in more tasks than usual, these are cases when the art of saying no is paramount because these tasks or errands do not align with your goals.

I watched a Christian movie recently titled "the forge", it teaches about the fundamental principles of Christianity, where Christians must lay it all down so as to be immersed in the fullness of God's salvation. Able men of God, source out young adults who are living a wayward life, disciple them and teach them the ways of the lord. So, there was a time when the company of the good man who was a good Christian and a great boss was at the verge of loosing the company's major account to some newbie Company. To test their level of competence, they were tasked with an impossible task of having to package a 3000 order before 9am the next day.

This seemed Impossible because the workers had just finished their shifts and had great plans for the weekend but in the end they took on the responsibility of working governight and getting the job done even though the work load was overbearing. But the fact that their boss was a good man and treated them well, they couldn't say no. When the job was done they got huge cheque's for compensation.

My point is that instances demands when an individual should say yes or no, the person or situation involved could be a determinant factor on why a person might not say no. This is just my opinion.
