HOW DID IMAM BUKHARI DIE....

How did Imam Bukhari die?

In the latter part of his life, Imam Bukhari faced severe persecution from the rulers of the eastern part of the Islamic world, especially in Nishapur, Bukhara and Samarkand.

There were several reasons for this, including:

They refused to educate the children of nobles in their palaces.

Some people envied his fame and career.

When Imam Bukhari reached the age of 62, the ruler of Nishapur ordered him to leave the city, saying that he was unwelcome there.

He migrated from there and reached his hometown Bukhara. People welcomed him at the gates of the city, and people and students gathered around him, even leaving the congregations of other preachers, which caused hatred in the hearts of some.

But soon the ruler of Bukhara became angry with his fame and messages came from the ruler of Nishapur to expel the Imam from Bukhara as well as he had been expelled from Nishapur.

A representative of the ruler of the city arrived at Imam Bukhari's house and ordered him to leave the city immediately. The order was to leave the city "immediately."

The Imam did not even get enough time to collect his books and organize them. They left the city and stayed in a tent on the outskirts of the city for three days, arranging their books and not knowing where to go.

Imam Bukhari then proceeded to Samarkand, but he did not enter the city but stayed with his relatives in one of its villages, Khartang. Ibrahim bin Muqal was also with him.

It was not long before the soldiers arrived at his house on the orders of the ruler of Samarkand and ordered him to leave Samarkand and its suburbs. It was the night of Eid al-Fitr.

The order was to leave "now", not after Eid. The Imam was afraid that no harm should come to his relatives who had entertained him.

Ibrahim bin Muqal loaded his books on one animal and carried the Imam on the other. Then Ibn Muqal returned home and brought Imam Bukhari out with a support. They both started walking towards the rides.

After walking about 20 paces, Imam Bukhari felt very tired and requested Ibn Muqal to rest for a few minutes.

Imam Bukhari sat on the side of the road and slept. A few minutes later, when Ibn Muqal tried to wake up the Imam, he found that his soul had gone to Allah. May Allah have mercy on them.

Imam Bukhari died on the side of the road on the night of Eid al-Fitr, 1st Shawwal 256 AH. He was moved from one city to another and was more than 62 years old.

Today, people do not know the names of the rulers of Nishapur, Bukhara and Samarkand, but everyone knows Imam Bukhari.

We pray that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala may have mercy on Imam Bukhari and raise his ranks, along with the prophets, martyrs and the righteous.
